Chapter 386: Elders Incoming
Lee Zhen Ren’s Residence.
Ruo Zhi sat in her chair and sipped on the teacup she had in her hands.
She was waiting for news to come in.
It didn’t take too long.
Lee Qing stepped into the main hall where Ruo Zhi was and bowed to her.
"How was it?" Ruo Zhi put down her teacup and asked.
Lee Qing shook her head, gave out a sigh and replied, "It didn’t go the way we thought it would.
"Sima Ye played along, but Hu Fei, that old sly fox, would rather give up money and possessions to avoid confrontation with the Sima Family directly."
Ruo Zhi snorted and said, "All of them are old sly foxes, especially that Sima Ye."
She tapped her fingers on the tabletop and pondered their next step of action.
Lee Qing stepped forward and said, "Why don’t we deal with those that work with the Sima Family first?
"Break and weaken their suppliers and partners.
"The Sima Family might not want to spend so many resources on them."
Ruo Zhi thought that it might work and said, "Make sure that the blame would be on the Sima Family."
Lee Qing nodded and gave Ruo Zhi a smirk, "I will make sure of it."
That was good enough of a distraction to the Sima Family for Ruo Zhi and she said, "I’ve requested the elders from Six Pulse Sword Sect and rogue cultivators to come to Hong Feng City to help us.
"Make sure the Sima Family is busy until they arrive."
Lee Qing opened her eyes wide and was excited at the good news.
She had been itching to flex her muscles ever since she had arrived in Hong Feng City with Ruo Zhi.
And now that the Six Pulse Sword Sect was getting ready, she would have many opportunities to do so.
"I shall get it done, Senior martial sister." Lee Qing bowed at Ruo Zhi and retreated from the main hall to get ready to wreak havoc on the partners of the Sima Family.

Lin Mansion.
When Lin Xuan Qi and Lee He Song got back to the mansion, it was time for dinner.
"Xuan Qi, how was the day?
"I’ve asked Auntie Sue to make some steamed fish and chicken soup for you.
"They would be great for you." Xue Cong came and checked on him when she saw him sitting in the main hall having tea.
She had been worried about him with him being so busy for the past few days.
He was working non-stop ever since he came back from Bian Jing, and the only thing she could do was to make sure everything went smoothly in the mansion.
The guards that came from the Sima Family didn’t make it easy for her.
She knew that something must have been going on outside of the mansion for the Sima Family to do so.
The last time it happened was when the rebellion by the peasants happened.
"It went well, I guess." Lin Xuan Qi gave her a smile and said.
He held onto her hand and gestured for her to sit beside him, which she obliged.
"Things might not be the same very soon.
"I need you and everyone else to be extra cautious for the time being.
"Avoid going out of the mansion unnecessarily.
"Ask Zhi Yong to go with you if you have to." Lin Xuan Qi said and gave out a sigh.
If only he was strong enough, he thought silently to himself.
As of now, he would have to try his best to ascend to the next level of cultivation and protect the clan.
Xue Cong nodded her head and said, "I’ve already told them to be extra careful when they replenish the supplies.
"But what about the wedding..."
She glanced at the decorations that were ready for the eventual day.
Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi had been waiting so long for it and she was worried that things might change if the situation turned bad.
Lin Xuan Qi frowned and said, "I’m sure that it should be fine until then.
"In the worst case scenario, we can just have a simple dinner and go through the ritual.
"Nothing fancy as long as it’s nice and cozy for the family.
"Which would be something that’s more important for me."
He wasn’t one who liked to go with something lavish just for the sake of it.
If a simple dinner would suffice, it was good enough for him.
Xue Cong gave out a sigh and said, "I will let Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi know about it."
She knew that every woman would prefer an unforgettable wedding if they could, but if the circumstances weren’t ideal, they might have to make some compromises.
And with her as the mistress of the Lin Clan, she would have to help Lin Xuan Qi settle it, while Lin Xuan Qi focused on his business outside of the mansion.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at her with a smile, feeling glad that she was always thinking about making things easier for him.
"Master Lin, there’s someone looking for you." One of the guards came into the main hall and bowed at him.
"Someone?" He wasn’t expecting anyone and he asked.
"The man says that he is from the Hu Clan to talk to you about a property transaction." The guard replied.
"Send him in."
Lin Xuan Qi was surprised that the Hu Clan would come and talk to him about the warehouse instead of the other way around.
Whatever happened at the warehouse earlier must have prompted the Hu Clan to do so, he thought to himself.
He didn’t know what exactly happened between the Sima Family and the Hu Clan, but he certainly didn’t mind being on the receiving end of it with the right consequences for him.
"Master Lin, pleased to meet you. I am Lee, coming here on behalf of Master Hu Fei about the warehouse." Lee entered the main hall and cupped his hands at Lin Xuan Qi.
Lin Xuan Qi stood up and cupped his hands back at him.
"Pleased to meet you."
