Chapter 384: The Cost of a Formation Array
Lin Xuan Qi stood next to the Formation Array and it seemed like there wasn’t anything extraordinary about it.
They seemed like they were only scriptures and containers arranged in a specific pattern.
He wasn’t sure if he had succeeded and he decided to try it.
Using his hand directed at the Formation Array, Lin Xuan Qi conjured a fireball with his Fire Spell.
When the fireball had gotten to the size that was half his height, he gave out a roar and unleashed the fireball at the Formation Array.
The fireball shot at the Formation Array with tremendous speed but when it got near to it, the blue glow appeared again and engulfed the whole area that was covered by the five containers.
Boom!
A loud explosion ensued when the fireball hit the blue glow.
The blue glow had materialized into an ice wall and the fireball was only able to chip off a chunk of the ice wall with its explosion.
Flames from the fireball could only turn some of the ice from the ice wall into a small puddle of water.
Lin Xuan Qi was pleased with the result and he chanted some words from the manuscript to deactivate the Formation Array.
Once he was done chanting, the ice wall turned back into the blue glow, and it dissipated.
Lin Xuan Qi walked over to one of the containers and picked it up to inspect the Five-Element Stone inside it.
The Five-Element Stone wasn’t glowing as brightly as it was before and it had used up around one quarter of its Five-Element Qi.
He gave out a sigh and shook his head when he saw that.
The Five-Element Stones required for a Formation Array that was large enough to cover the area of the mansion would be much more than what he had used for the experiment.
It would cost him but Lin Xuan Qi knew that it was a necessary step to keep the mansion safe from attacks in the future.
He had around a thousand and a hundred over Five-Element Stones with him, and he figured that he could use around two hundred of the Five-Element Stones for the Formation Array.
After the Formation Array was settled, Lin Xuan Qi knew that he would have to try and earn more Five-Element Stones from the system as much as possible.
With Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi as his concubines soon, they would also need the Five-Element Stones for their cultivation.
Lin Xuan Qi decided to cultivate throughout the night inside the lab until it was time to sleep.
He used the Five-Element Stones from the containers and went through the cycling of the Five-Element Qi through his organs until they were depleted.
His cultivation level had increased from what it was and he wasn’t about to stop.
Getting to Qi Concentration Level Refined Stage was close for him.
Lin Xuan Qi felt that he would be able to break through within the next few days.

Lin Xuan Qi woke up and had a quick breakfast.
And after he was done, he went to the factory in the south with Lee He Song to settle the setting up of the new factory and check on the progress of the new workers.
When he arrived at the factory, there was a surprise waiting for him.
"Master Lin, we are here under the orders of Master Sima Ye to protect the factories.
"There are men on their way to the mansion too." One of the guards from the Sima Family greeted him and said.
"Thanks so much." Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at the guards and thanked them.
Sima Ye had told him of what was about to happen so he didn’t need to ask the guards what it was about.
He checked on the new factory and saw that it was already operating with the new workers getting hands on with the production.
They were guided by the senior workers and they were learning about their jobs enthusiastically.
Compared to being slaves in some Clan or Family, they were glad to be given the chance to work with a stable allowance and a bonus if they did well.
Lin Xuan Qi checked with the supervisor for minute details about the new workers and when there wasn’t anything that was much of a concern, he decided to go to the warehouse that was owned by Hu Fei.
He wanted to try his luck one more time to see if Hu Fei was willing to sell.
If Hu Fei didn’t want to, then he might have to execute his alternative plan of buying the factory in other areas which might not be as accessible as the one nearby.
"Master Lin, I’m sorry to intrude but may I ask, where are you going?" One of the guards from the Sima Family asked when he saw Lin Xuan Qi leaving.
Lin Xuan Qi figured that the guard was under instruction from Sima Ye to keep a close eye on him in case anything happened to him, so he pointed in the direction of the warehouse and said, "I’m checking to see if the owner would sell the property to me."
The guard bowed at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "Master Sima Ye says that you might want to wait till the end of the day before you decide on it."
"The end of the day?" Lin Xuan Qi was perturbed about what Sima Ye meant by it.
He glanced over at Lee He Song and Lee He Song shook his head at him.
Lee He Song also didn’t have any idea of what was happening.
Lin Xuan Qi frowned and he said to Lee He Song, "Let’s go over to the warehouse and see what Master Sima Ye is planning."
"As you wish, Master Lin." Lee He Song chuckled and said.
He was a cultivator now and had steadily progressed in his cultivation.
And with it, he had more confidence to do things compared to the times when he was only a martial arts fighter.
It was like having a newfound life and Lee He Song was eager to make full use of it.
