Chapter 486: Concept of Dimensionality, How does one reach the 6th rank?
"Finally, the peak of the nexus cell realm." Grey blinked.
This was far better than he expected. With this, he could take a step forward into the helices realm.
But before that, he wanted to make sure that his foundation was at its peak.
He went back to the testing facility and rechecked his scores.
[Strength: 6S]
[Speed: 6A]
[Defense: 6D]
[Combat Power: 6th rank, 3rd level]
They had all increased drastically with Nexus Overclock. Now, he wanted to see them without it.
[Strength: 2.5S]
[Speed: 2.5A]
[Defense: 2.5D]
[Combat Power: 6th rank, first level]
"So the 600% amplification from Nexus Overclock increases it by 3.5." Grey nodded.
Before, it was even below the base stats of the 6th rank; now, his base power was as good as a slightly above-average first-level 6th ranker.
A first level had an index of 1 to 2; second level, 3 to 4; third level, 5 to 6; fourth level, 7 to 8; fifth level, 9 to 10; sixth level, 11 to 12; seventh level, 13 to 14; eighth level, 15 to 16; ninth level, 17 to 18; tenth level, 19 to 20; eleventh level, 21 to 22; twelfth level, 23 to 24.
Once they had achieved dimensional transcendence, these were the only normal ways to properly assort them.
"A 4th-dimensional being in this world is strange." Grey knew how a fourth-dimensional being would function. They could simply phase through things, teleport anywhere, have infinite storage, and even bypass what was physical; they could also rewind minor mistakes.
Yet here, they could at best deal minor damage to a few star regions. It was a comical sight.
Out of curiosity, he decided to ask Eve and Eterna.
"Oh, that’s because of the Origin Will," Eve spoke. "If you went into a lower plane of existence, you would naturally tap into the power of that dimensionality and see the past, future, and present. But here in the main world, you are just a being capable of destroying a star region. The Origin Will shows some leniency at the 7th rank, which is why martial artists at the 7th rank can simply crush the concept of distance and go anywhere within the universe, even though they are Fifth-dimensional beings."
"That must mean the 8th rank is Sixth-dimensional beings, right?"
"Yes," Eve affirmed.
4D: Realm of space and time.
5D: The realm of probability.
6D: The sovereign of reality.
In the realm of probability, they could see the future, alter timelines in such a way that enemy attacks missed, or extract the best possible outcome for their own progression, and so on.
As for 6D, it was absolute control over a universe. They could rewrite history, alter the laws of magic and physics at will, and could not be killed unless the universe itself was erased.
"Outside this universe, I should be a being who can alter space and time to a certain degree." Grey was proud of himself.
He was a seventeen-year-old who could alter space and time in a lower plane of existence without an Origin Will.
Meaning, if he were in a normal world like his old Earth, he could do things like phase through solid objects, rewind time, and see the future.
But at the same time, he also understood why reaching the 6th rank required advanced succession in spatial law.
As for the time law...
"The time law? It doesn’t exist in our universe," Eve chuckled. "Nor does it exist in any other worlds. The Heavenly Dao sealed away access to time due to the aeonic barrier of time being shattered by something," Eve spoke casually.
"The 8th rankers borrow the power of the Origin Will to stop time and rewrite history. Well, they can do it in any other universe as well, as they are strong enough to borrow powers from the origin of the universe itself."
"Can’t they comprehend the law of time while borrowing it then?" Grey tilted his head.
"Nope." Eve shook her head. "The Heavenly Dao... not even the beings of higher worlds can do anything to it. Forget comprehending the law of time as long as the Heavenly Dao stands."
’But I already comprehend it, though,’ Grey thought to himself.
He, Grey, was the sole person in this entire universe who could comprehend the law of time then!
The Heavenly Dao was actively stopping him from reaching minor succession in the law of time, but he knew how to bypass it.
Find a lesser heaven, take a fragment of the old heaven, use the heavenly mandate, and let the fragment take over the heaven until he reached minor succession!
It was a simple but effective plan!
"Does that mean in this world, the Fifth Dimension is achieved by borrowing power from the Origin Will?" Grey then asked the crucial question.
This was crucial to his path as well.
"Yes," Eve nodded. "How else would they transcend dimensionality without comprehending the laws of space and time? The current prerequisite to reach it is advanced succession in the law of space, gaining a glimpse at the Dao of space or the principles of space, and connecting to its power. That’s how you transcend dimensionality, as you force the Origin Will to give its powers to you."
"The heaven is fair; it is in its rules that if one path closes, then another will without a doubt open up. That’s why such a rule exists across the endless reality."
"Oh." Grey nodded.
After law, it was Dao, or principles as others called it.
But the Source World and the God World had their own sets of laws that were untouched by the endless reality and other higher worlds. There was a reason why they stood at the summit.
Well, what was important was that he now understood he needed the laws of space and time to reach the 6th rank.
If he didn’t, he would go back to his old path. The path that still held traces of the hidden rules of evolution.
He absolutely did not want that.
It was either A, he transcends without laws, or B, he comprehends both space and time laws to advanced succession, glimpses the Dao of space and time, and then transcends.
"Wait." Grey suddenly froze.
