Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Outside, Grey scanned the Dragon World with his mental perception. He quickly located a massive hoard of origin treasures hidden within the clan’s main treasury. He punched the empty space in front of him. The fabric of space immediately shattered, connecting the spatial node from the distant treasury directly to his current location. Several glowing origin treasures flew out from the void.

He grabbed a Tier 1 High-Grade Origin Treasure from the floating pile and handed it to Julie.

"Use it," Grey instructed as he stepped forward, transmitting the complex information of the Sovereign Ontological Override technique and the 5th Rank manual directly into her mind.

"Use the technique I just transmitted to form an Event Horizon state. But do not just push your physical body into it to transmit as cosmic radiation. I have a different set of data ready. Just destroy your Origin Core completely. I have something much better."

The casual way Grey spoke about destroying a cultivation core was definitely not normal, but Julie trusted her brother wholeheartedly. He was her brother first, and second, a supreme being who had achieved true Sainthood. Everyone in the cosmos would think twice before doubting a Saint.

Soon, dense origin power gathered around Julie, and she smoothly reached the Event Horizon state. Just like that, she fearlessly detonated her own Origin Core. Immediately after, a flood of data from the Information Layer surged out of Grey. It shot straight into Julie’s Event Horizon like a glowing stream of zeroes and ones, mixing with illusory energy.

The Event Horizon violently stirred as the genetic data Grey had heavily modified forced its way inside.

Whrmm! Cosmic radiation erupted from the collapsing singularity. Her soul shuddered as it was pulled directly into the radiant storm.

A blinding light shone across the land as the perfect combination of her soul and frequency fused to form a true Source. Soon, she anchored herself to the Summit of Nexus. Six cosmic meridians latched onto her newly formed Source as frequential aetheric power erupted. The energy shot into one of the meridians.

Grey observed the process closely. From here, she needed to compress the frequential energy to such a minuscule level that it collapsed inward to form an Aetheric Cell.

Fortunately, Julie was incredibly talented.

Boom! Within less than a second, an Aetheric Cell was born. Then another, and one more. Finally, after forming the fourth cell, she stopped. During this entire process, Grey was constantly funneling refined origin power into her from the floating treasures. She halted her advancement the moment her frequential foundation dropped below the optimal breakthrough limit.

Now, she needed to gather her ambient powers and strengthen her core to push her foundation back to one hundred percent.

"Is it done?" Eve asked, looking somewhat bored. However, her face instantly stiffened.

Julie’s Source suddenly shifted. A crackling grey aura erupted from her small figure. The pressure it emitted... it was unmistakably draconic.

Boom! A blinding light shot from her Source. A gigantic behemoth the size of a small planet materialized and descended onto the Dragon World. The Dragon World was incomprehensibly vast, so the surrounding landscape still managed to dwarf the massive creature.

Eve and Xia Qingyue audibly gasped at the majestic sight.

"Y-You... what?" They stared at Grey in pure disbelief.

He was not joking! She really did transform into a True Dragon!

"She is a full-fledged True Dragon. Not even the oldest ancestors of the Higher World will be able to spot a single difference," Grey explained with a small smile. "Well, the only real difference between her and Alissa is their composition. Alissa is made of true origin energy, while Julie is a frequential entity fueled by aetheric frequency. I can confidently say that frequency is conceptually superior to normal energy beings."

Everyone else just looked at him, feeling a deep chill run down their spines.

What was this? What sort of heaven-defying power was this? How did he manage to achieve such a ridiculous level of creation? Both Eve and Xia Qingyue felt their entire worldviews drastically shattering.

"I really turned into a dragon..." Julie muttered, similarly dumbstruck.

This overwhelming physical sensation could not be faked at all!

Then, she felt a strange, dormant power deep inside her core calling out. She sensed it closely and intuitively channeled the energy.

Immediately, the entire world around her froze in place.

"Huh?" Julie looked around in disbelief. Everywhere she looked, time had stopped. The native animals of the Dragon World, massive winged reptilians flying in the sky, were completely frozen mid-flap.

Well, everyone was frozen except for Grey.

"Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that True Dragons can passively stop time?" Grey asked with an amused smile.

"Brother..." Julie remained dumbfounded.

Time stop? She just stopped time? She simply could not believe what was happening right now.

"Try using the Flames of Entropy now," Grey instructed after she successfully retracted the temporal stasis.

Julie nodded. Her massive draconic figure shifted, shrinking back into her standard human appearance. However, her physical features had improved significantly. This flawless refinement was due to her anchoring herself to the Summit of Nexus. The exact same phenomenon had occurred with Xia Qingyue. She had also become noticeably more ethereal and beautiful.

The Summit was passively perfecting their physical vessels and powers, even though they could never truly touch the Nexus itself.

His Nexus Angels, being entities anchored to his specific universe, shared similar traits. While their facial features were intentionally vague, they held an appearance that screamed divine perfection. Their glowing forms were far more exaggerated than Xia Qingyue and Julie, mainly because Grey had directly infused them with his Nexus Saint powers.

Soon, Julie summoned the dark Flames of Entropy and began practicing with her newly acquired arsenal of abilities.

While the others watched her test out her destructive powers in awe, Grey took this quiet time to use the remaining origin treasures to upgrade his own foundation.

"A Tier 1 High-Grade Origin Foundation Key," Grey muttered.

While scanning the treasury earlier, he had specifically picked this item out. This exact Foundation Key would allow him to reach the peak of the 5th Rank’s first stage without any bottlenecks. The vast Dragon Palace simply had an absurd amount of hoarded wealth.

Countless origin treasures flew out of the spatial node, condensing into a river of pure origin power. The energy shot directly into Grey. He effortlessly converted the torrent into frequential Nexus energy, using it to forcefully permeate his second cosmic meridian.

Immediate resistance pushed back against his efforts, but he began to hammer the frequential power down repeatedly with his immense willpower.

Under his continuous heavy pressure, the dense power collapsed inward. That was the second Nexus Cell formed. His overall foundation dropped to ninety percent due to the massive energy expenditure, but it was fine. He had enough fuel to keep going.

Boom! Boom! Boom! He began hammering away at the third cell, and then the fourth.

The Dao of Power’s heavy presence could be felt across the entire Dragon World. It collectively surged forward, reinforcing all aspects of his existence with each consecutive Nexus Cell formation.

"This power," Eterna stared up at the trembling sky with a deep frown.

"Is this a Dao?" Eve muttered right next to her.

Boom! By now, Grey had already fully digested the Foundation Key, and he was currently sitting at the sixth and final meridian.

He struck the condensed energy with all his might. This time, he even activated his Nexus Overclock to ensure success. The final cell was always a notorious hurdle, but against his overwhelming personal power, it simply could not resist the compression.

Boom! The sixth and final Nexus Cell was born. He felt a profound sense of elevation as the complete set stabilized. The Dao of Power surged directly into his Source. His frequential abilities amplified and doubled as his overall presence in the universe skyrocketed.

He had officially reached the peak of the first stage of the 5th Rank.
