Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 487: Master Negotiator Strikes Again! Can you add in Time rewinding to that list?

"Can’t I just ask the two Daos to make it so when my pathstriders reach the 6th rank, they get the powers necessary to transcend dimensions?"

Grey’s eyes burned bright. His figure disappeared from everyone’s sight as he descended into the Creator Invocation Space.

"Going to ask the Daos for help?" Fragment appeared beside him and inquired.

"Yep." Grey nodded as he willed the Dao of Space once again.

His vision shifted, and he was standing before the Dao of Space once again.

"Gaah. Why are you here again?" The instant it saw Grey, it shivered. "Didn’t I already realize your intent before?"

"I need help." Grey got to the point, not bothering with the scaredy-cat of a Dao.

He still to this day didn’t know why these Daos feared him; the literal Dao of Power trembled before him as well.

"What might that be?" the Dao of Space asked.

"I want you to make someone who is entering the 6th rank of my path instantly comprehend spatial law to advanced succession, no matter what level their comprehension is at, and glimpse your existence once so they can transcend dimensionality."

"..." The Dao of Space stared at Grey in speechlessness. "Do you plan on just giving your pathstriders a free ticket to transcendence? That is not fair at all. It will tilt the balance of the world if I do this. It can lead to the destruction of the endless reality as we know it."

"Don’t worry." Grey smiled. "Only those worthy will reach the 6th rank."

"With the Heavenly Mandate, I can automate a system that, if they do not meet the right conditions, will eliminate the user or make them stay at the 5th rank forever. The Heavenly Mandate gave birth to that unexpected power in my Creator Invocation Space."

"Hm." The Dao of Space seemed to be in deep thought, and after a while, heaved a sigh of relief.

"Fine. I agree to it, but only under the condition that you automate the punishments you’ve spoken of."

"The power will only trigger if I sense the Heavenly Mandate’s connection to the 6th rank’s path in the Creator Invocation Space," it added.

"Deal."

"Okay." The Dao of Space heaved a sigh of relief. Grey was back in the Creator Invocation Space. A light shone from the void as it shot towards the illusory 6th rank Grey had created as a prototype for the two huge monsters, the Daos of Space and Time.

"Now, for time."

He had never approached time before; he was curious as to how it would react to him.

He tried to sense it, and immediately, the world around him rapidly distorted. The following instant, he was in a plane filled with an endless amount of clocks.

"Why have you arrived, perfect one? Although my brother did already tell me about your arrival." In the sky, there was a structure that looked like a clock. But the deeper Grey stared, he noticed a smaller clock appear inside the clock, and inside it another clock, and inside that... It just kept on going. His comprehension over the law of time surged but was forced down as the mythical presence of the Heavenly Dao descended.

"The Heavenly Dao blocks the path of time. Those who can still access my powers number less than two."

"If it’s within my capabilities, I shall assist you."

Grey proposed the same to the Dao of Time.

"Since my brother has already agreed, I have no problems with that. As long as it is for transcendence, the Heavenly Dao won’t restrict my movements," the Dao of Time spoke.

"Hm. Thank you." Grey nodded. Then, as if thinking of something, he asked again, "Can you add in free time rewinding just for me?"

"No."

"But think about it. It’s not like I will gain comprehension over the law of time with it, right? Right?" Grey blinked as he stared at the Dao of Time.

"Ugh... fine. But the limits of the time rewinding will be short. Only after reaching the 8th rank will I allow you to rewind history."

Grey nodded.

This Dao was much calmer; it didn’t seem to be that scared of him.

"By the way, I was always wondering about this. But is the restriction over time... due to the gods?"

"That’s only a part of it," the Dao of Time spoke softly.

"The Heavenly One sealed me off for a good purpose. You already have a past one with you; those were the side effects of the gods achieving nirvanic rebirth. You should know this clearly, being close with the reincarnation of the God Empress herself."

"But the real reason the Heavenly One sealed off time... is because of those from above."

"The Ascendancy Domain."

"Yes," the Dao of Time spoke softly.

Just then, it frowned.

A light shone from the sky. Seeing this, Grey snorted.

The Heavenly Dao was here.

"I’ll come find you later," Grey said as his figure blurred out of the space.

He and the Heavenly Dao had immense beef with each other.

It would definitely not be a good thing for him to be seen with the Dao of Time. As soon as he appeared back, the power of time also joined together with the 6th rank.

Boom!

A radiant light burst from the path as it materialized.

This indicated that his 6th rank had been conceptualized and was ready to use. Once someone’s source formed all singularities, it would reach a state between 3D and 4D. With this, the transcendence would be visualized and achieve a 4th-dimensional state.

"You really got their help." Fragment was speechless seeing this.

"Of course. Who do you think I am? I’m a master negotiator." Grey smiled.

"By the way, Fragment. We need to find a Lesser Heaven soon. I don’t care about the Heavenly Dao anymore. I will make the time law reach minor succession."

"Yeah. But where do we begin? This world is too vast to start from a point."
