Chapter 741: The Dao of Gains
Garion watched the [White Hole] push against the dragon elder’s divine authority and could not help but grin wider. "How does it feel?"
The dragon elder’s expression darkened.
Garion tilted his head, looking far too pleased with himself. "Good, right?"
Rachel glanced at him helplessly.
Atlas looked like his soul had already left his tiny body.
Garion pointed toward the expanding white sphere beside the throne. "That’s your own pressure that I..."
He paused for a moment, then laughed softly. "Heheheh."
The dragon elder’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
Garion’s ability was not simply about releasing power. His body could also absorb whatever force was directed at him.
Then came the [White Hole], the part of his ability that amplified everything he had absorbed and hurled it back into the surrounding space in the most obnoxiously destructive way possible.
In simple terms, Garion’s body had become a black hole that devoured everything thrown at him.
After that, he can use his white hole ability to violently spat it all back out, forcing everything around him to fuck off.
Volkrath finally stepped forward slightly. "Garion."
Garion glanced at him. "What?"
Volkrath’s mouth twitched. "This palace is not yours."
Garion looked around, then nodded in understanding. "Ah."
Atlas immediately shouted,
[That is what you realize now?!]
Garion waved his hand casually.
The [White Hole] shrank in an instant, collapsing into a tiny point of light before vanishing completely.
The terrifying repulsive force vanished along with it, and at last, the palace fell quiet.
The guards slowly pushed themselves up from the floor, their faces pale and their pride basically dead.
The dragon elder remained seated on his throne, but his gaze on Garion had completely changed.
At first, he had only been curious about why Volkrahr would bring some Celestial Realm brat to a meeting like this.
But now, he finally realized that this bastard Garion and his wife, Rachel, were anything but fucking normal.
Hell, he was even starting to suspect that they might not truly belong to the Celestial Realm at all.
Perhaps they had taken an entirely different path.
After all, there was never only one road to strength, nor only one way to become a god. There were countless paths.
And maybe this bastard had simply chosen one that was completely different.
The dragon elder stared at Garion for several seconds before finally speaking in a low voice. "Enough."
Garion raised both hands innocently. "You started it."
The dragon elder’s eyebrow twitched.
Volkrath quietly looked away, pretending he had not heard that.
Rachel softly pinched Garion’s arm.
Garion coughed once. "Okay, okay."
The dragon elder looked toward the guards. "Escort them to their room."
The guards immediately straightened despite their miserable condition. "Yes, Elder."
The dragon elder’s gaze returned to Garion and Rachel. "The meeting will begin tomorrow."
Garion blinked. "Tomorrow?"
Volkrath nodded. "Most forces have arrived, but several important figures are still on the way."
Garion rubbed his chin. "So we came early?"
Atlas muttered,
[Apparently early enough to nearly demolish someone else’s palace.]
Rachel lowered her head politely toward the dragon elder. "Thank you for the arrangement."
Garion also nodded casually. "Sure. See you tomorrow, powerful receptionist."
The entire palace froze.
The dragon elder stared at Garion silently.
For some reason, he suddenly felt that tomorrow’s meeting was going to be much more troublesome than expected.
The guards quickly led Garion and Rachel away before the palace exploded for real.
---
After Garion and Rachel left the palace, the atmosphere inside did not immediately recover.
The guards stood silently with pale faces, pretending they had not just been thrown around like useless decorations.
Volkrath remained standing near the side of the hall, his expression calm, though his eyes still carried faint amusement.
The dragon elder sat on his throne without speaking for several seconds.
Finally, his gaze shifted toward Volkrath. "Volkrath."
Volkrath stepped forward and lowered his head slightly. "Elder."
The dragon elder’s expression darkened. "What the hell was that bastard Garion?"
Volkrath did not answer immediately.
The dragon elder continued, his voice carrying obvious irritation. "And his wife, Rachel. What are they?"
Volkrath raised his eyes slightly.
The dragon elder leaned back against his throne, but his gaze remained sharp. "Even you could not withstand my pressure so easily."
Volkrath did not deny it.
That was true.
He was a Low-Rank God. Even if he could endure the elder’s pressure, he would still need to use Divine Energy seriously.
Yet Garion and Rachel had stood there as if the divine pressure was some warm-up breeze.
The dragon elder’s fingers tapped slowly against the armrest of his throne. "From what I can see, it seems they must be walking a different path."
Volkrath fell silent for a moment.
He thought back to Garion’s [Black Hole] swallowing his divine ability, breaking his volcanic domain, and devouring an entire planet.
He also remembered Rachel’s pink-gold aura calmly neutralizing the elder’s pressure.
Volkrath remained silent for a while.
The more he thought about it, the stranger Garion and Rachel became.
Eventually, he spoke slowly. "There is indeed a possibility."
The dragon elder looked at him. "Speak."
Volkrath nodded. "Their training method is extremely different from ours."
He paused for a moment before continuing, "From what I investigated, God Gym is based on something called a gym."
The dragon elder frowned slightly. "Gym?"
"Yes." Volkrath’s expression also became strange. "Apparently, in some lower world, a gym was simply a place used to train the body."
For a moment, the palace became silent.
The dragon elder stared at him.
Volkrath coughed lightly. "I know it sounds ridiculous, Elder, but Garion seems to have transformed that simple idea into an entire cultivation path."
His eyes narrowed. "They focus heavily on training the body. Muscles, endurance, bones, organs, recovery, resistance, movement, pressure, survival... everything begins from the body."
The dragon elder’s expression became thoughtful.
Volkrath continued, "But that alone should not create beings like Garion and Rachel. Their energy styles, their strange authorities, their ability to resist divine pressure... I cannot explain those parts."
He looked toward the direction Garion and Rachel had left. "Garion must possess some kind of secret method or hidden foundation that turns physical training into something far greater."
The dragon elder leaned back on his throne. "So he took a low-world body training place and turned it into a path to godhood?"
Volkrath nodded slowly. "That is my guess."
For several seconds, the dragon elder said nothing.
Then he closed his eyes and snorted. "Whatever."
Volkrath raised his head slightly.
The dragon elder’s voice became calm again. "As long as they are not our enemies, it does not matter."
Volkrath lowered his head. "Understood."
The dragon elder opened one eye. "But keep watching them."
Volkrath nodded. "Of course, Elder."
