Chapter 743: NASM - 743
Just as he had thought, tomorrow would indeed be a full day of fun. And the place they were going to was definitely huge; after all, it was a whole lake.
That lake was the most famous landmark in this entire village. It was renowned for being incredibly clear—so clear that you could see straight down to the bottom, and your reflection was sharp and perfect just like a mirror. That was why it was called the Lake of Mirrors.
"Tomorrow I’ll finally get to see it with my own eyes. I’m so curious to know what it actually looks like! Is it really as magical as the legends say? Can you really see everything so clearly, just like looking into glass? To be honest, I find it hard to believe. It sounds almost impossible to find water that clean and unpolluted in this day and age!" Hiroshi thought to himself as he stood by the open window, gazing out into the night.
He took a deep breath and noticed how incredibly fresh and clean the air was. Even though there were so many people walking around down on the streets, the air still smelled pure and sweet. It seemed this village had a very special way of maintaining the environment, keeping the air fresh constantly.
"I really wish the Hidden Leaf Village had methods like this. I would love it if the air in the village was always this fresh and clean, just like it is up in the mountains behind the village. Speaking of which... I suddenly really miss the back mountain. I used to spend so much time there training, going there all the time whenever I had free time!" Hiroshi reminisced, thinking back to his days of hard cultivation.
Hiroshi’s life hadn’t been easy. He had grown up being bullied and looked down upon by others. But eventually, his hard work had paid off. He had grown strong step by step, and now he no longer had to live in fear or be pushed around by anyone.
"Looking at my own life, I realise that things are actually fair in this world. It seems that no matter what world you are in, everyone gets what they deserve in the end. Whether you are strong or weak, everyone has their own reasons for living and their own motivations to become stronger."
"Every powerful person shares the same thought—that they are still not strong enough. And every weak person wonders why they have to be so weak. All those who are weak are constantly trying to find ways to improve themselves and become strong, just so they won’t be oppressed or looked down upon anymore."
"But the journey from weakness to strength is incredibly difficult and long. It takes so much effort. Yet, giving up is so easy... it can happen in just a single moment of weakness." Hiroshi thought deeply as he looked outside.
He knew this better than anyone. He had walked that path himself, starting from the very bottom and slowly climbing his way up to become a true powerhouse. He had taken every step seriously and firmly. But now that he was strong, he never thought about bullying those weaker than himself. He understood the pain and sadness that weak people went through, because he had been there himself.
"In this world, strength is everything. It proves your worth and determines everything. But back in my original world, things were different. Even if you were strong, without money you couldn’t do anything. In that world, money really was the only thing that mattered." Hiroshi mused, leaning on the window sill.
After experiencing so much over the years, he had come to understand many things. He finally understood why he had been so weak before, and he also understood exactly what he had done to become this powerful.
But no matter what, everything he had achieved now was the result of his own sweat and effort. He didn’t owe anyone anything, and he didn’t need anyone’s charity.
"Ah, forget it. What’s the point of thinking about all that now? I’ve already reached this level of power. I don’t need to be afraid of anyone anymore, and I never want to bully the innocent either. I know that not everyone is born a genius, and no one actually wants to be weak."
"Everyone has their own difficulties and struggles. Life is hard for everyone. I should just focus on being myself and living my own life properly." Hiroshi said softly to himself with a smile.
He pulled his head back inside, having watched the street long enough. He slowly closed the window, shutting out the night view.
"I can’t believe it’s still so hot out there! But it’s strange... it feels so cool and comfortable inside the room. There isn’t even an air conditioner or anything like that. I wonder how they do it? But regardless, staying indoors was definitely the right choice!" Hiroshi said as he sat back down on the chair.
"Summer is almost over now, but the temperature is still pretty high. I’m sure it will be much nicer and cooler once we get back to the Leaf Village. Just have to endure it for another four or five days, and then we can go home. When we get back, I’m going to rest properly and spend lots of time with Uncle and Aunt!" Hiroshi said with a happy smile.
