And so time passed, and eventually Harumiko finished her bath and walked slowly out of the bathroom. Just like yesterday, she was wearing a simple, comfortable bathrobe.
"Harumiko, you’re done! How does it feel? Your whole body must feel so relaxed and comfortable now, right?" Hiroshi said with a bright smile as he saw her coming out.
Harumiko nodded happily and replied, "Yes, exactly! I feel completely refreshed and relaxed. Compared to how I felt before, I love this feeling so much more!"
"By the way, Hiroshi... did you manage to figure out how to play the game?" she asked as she walked over and sat down beside him.
Hiroshi shook his head looking slightly embarrassed and said softly, "I’m really sorry. I read the instructions for a really long time, but in the end, I still couldn’t understand the rules at all. So I just gave up trying. It’s been so long since I played anything like this, my brain just couldn’t process the manual anymore!"
"That’s true, I also felt it was quite complicated. I guess we should have checked the rules briefly before buying them. But don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll figure it out eventually. But maybe we shouldn’t force it tonight. Let’s just go to sleep early instead. We still have to go to the Lake of Mirrors tomorrow, remember?" Harumiko said gently with a smile.
Hiroshi nodded in agreement. "You’re right. If we get a good rest tonight and wake up early tomorrow, we’ll be ready to go. I’m really curious to see what it actually looks like. Is it really as amazing as the legends say?"
"It’s hard to say for sure, but I’m certain it must be a very beautiful place. After all, there are so many travellers coming to this village, and I’m sure most of them are here just to see that lake. It is the most famous spot here after all!" Harumiko said, shaking her head slightly.
Hiroshi nodded. That made perfect sense. If the place wasn’t special or beautiful, people wouldn’t be travelling from far away just to see it.
"Ah well, there’s no use guessing now. We’ll just have to wait and see with our own eyes tomorrow. I have a feeling it might even be better than we expect!" Hiroshi said cheerfully.
Harumiko smiled and nodded, then suddenly asked, "Right! Hiroshi, aren’t you going to take a bath tonight?"
Hiroshi shook his head and replied, "No, I think I’ll skip it tonight. I’ll just take a proper one tomorrow night when we get back. I already soaked my feet just now, so I feel comfortable enough already. I just want to get straight into bed and have a good sleep!"
"Besides, tomorrow is going to be another long day of walking and exploring, so I need to save my energy. I want to be in top shape tomorrow so I can have fun with you properly!" he added with a grin.
Harumiko nodded understandingly, then lifted the covers and slid gently into the warm bed.
"Ahhh, this feels so good! Lying in bed like this makes me feel like I have the whole world. It’s so comfortable, and my body feels completely relaxed and light... no worries at all!" she said happily, a contented smile on her face.
Watching her like this, Hiroshi felt his heart fill with warmth and happiness. She looked so cute and lovely no matter what she was doing, and just seeing her always made him feel peaceful and happy inside.
