Chapter 218
The next day in the castle, servants were moving quickly to prepare for the Queen’s coronation in front of all the demons living on the mountain. Alastor warned the servants that anyone who messed up the day would be banished to the underworld or worse. It was Killian’s order he was passing on.
No one knew exactly when Killian and Amelia were planning to return to the castle so before they arrived, the servants wanted to make the throne room as Killian envisioned so he would not get angry that they had not completed the job.
"You can stop jumping up and down beside me. Your excitement is choking me," Edith said, using her right hand to keep Gina still. "She’s already the Queen. This is just for show and for Killian to put it in everyone’s heads that we must respect her."
"Still, I am looking forward to seeing Amelia all dressed up with her crown and all eyes on her. We have to make her even more perfect than she already is today. When she returns, you need to be more excited. We have to distract her from the fact no one from the Blackwell kingdom is here. They are preparing for her cousin to become King. I was expecting at least her grandmother would be here. I hope she is not disappointed," Gina muttered.
"Their loss," Edith said, not caring about the lack of Blackwells.
"It is but I know it kind of bothers her. Since a truce did not happen, no one from the Blackwell kingdom would want to visit the north. I can’t fight the feeling that there will be a war between the two kingdoms soon and Amlie will be put in a tough spot. I- Amelia!" Gina called to the star of the day. She looked up into the sky where she spotted Killian flying around with Amelia in his arms.
Gina rushed to where Killian was landing so she could check on Amelia and then immediately drag her off to prepare for the big day.
"We need to use my carriage more often instead of flying around," Amelia said, her body shaking from the fright. Flying around was not for her. There was a good reason she was not born with wings. "Sweet land," she added when her feet touched the ground. Her heart was beating quickly and she still felt the force of the wind on her skin.
Killian was completely unaffected thanks to his many years of flying around. "It would be better if you didn’t eat before we took off. I warned you," he walked by her.
