Chapter 219
"It is nice to meet you Lucifer, and I have been looking forward to meeting your wife, but I must start getting ready now. I will try to meet with you as soon as I can," Amelia said, going back to focusing on what was most important at the moment. She did not want to be late for her coronation even if this was all for show.
Lucifer placed his hands behind his back and looked down at Amelia. "You seem cheery despite what is being said about you killing your father. It was quite the gossip I heard before we came here."
"What?" Amelia looked at Killian. He couldn’t have possibly mentioned it to Lucifer. Lucifer had to have heard it from Cyrus or Gina. They were the only other ones to know aside from her grandmother. "Where did you hear something like that?"
"I am aware that is true. I see a lot that happens in this world even when I am in the underworld. The Grimms who wandered the streets of a town in the Blackwell kingdom heard it and passed on the news to me. Someone is hell bent on ruining you. It sounds like they are pulling assumptions out of thin air, but you know how people are. Most tend to easily believe lies," said Lucifer.
Killian snarled at Lucifer for mentioning this now when Amelia should be enjoying her coronation and going off to put on her dress. "Why the fuck would you mention this now?" He asked, tempted to shove the old fool back down into the underworld.
"I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to say this," Lucifer smiled, giving away the fact he hoped it would stir up trouble. "You have your little spies in that castle, Killian. Have none of them informed you about these rumors of your wife being a murderer? I might know who pointed fingers at your wife and if you ask nicely, I can-"
"It is her cousin," Killian knew right away who the culprit was. Fraser was the only fool brave enough to keep poking at Amelia.
"What a lucky guess. I wouldn’t try holding back from starting a war with those humans. I am bored these days and need something to watch. Go on. Start a war," Lucifer encouraged Killian. Humans weren’t doing anything exciting these days so a war was just what he needed.
"There will be no war," Amelia said. Her coronation would not be the day a war started between the two kingdoms. Amelia pinched the bridge of her nose as she tried to calm her anger. Instead of focusing on her big day, Fraser was out to destroy her name.
Amelia was curious about what led Fraser to believe she killed her father. There was nothing to point her to her father’s death. No one could ever link the poison to her and Killian had claimed he was the one responsible for the death. Was Fraser trying to make the assumption that she worked with Killian?
Amelia wanted to know what was being said in the Blackwell kingdom, but her mind was supposed to be fixated on her coronation here in the north. The devil and his wife were also here so she could not push back the big day again in order to deal with Fraser.
