Chapter 1441: Trevor Wants to Understand Her
A few seconds later, the two returned to the car.
Trevor slightly increased the speed, and the car remained silent.
Actually, Janelle really wanted to ask him if he liked Jocelyn or what kind of feelings he had for her.
She was a bit curious and also a bit jealous, stemming from her own feelings for him.
But at a time like this, discussing this topic seemed inappropriate, and Janelle herself did not have the right status.
So, she held it in, but keeping it inside made her feel a bit uncomfortable.
After a while, it was Trevor who spoke first. He calmly asked the girl sitting in the passenger seat, "Janelle, how did you get involved with the orphanage?"
He began to be curious about her affairs and had a desire to explore.
"My mom sponsored those kids in my name for seven years. I’ve visited them a few times, and occasionally we have video calls."
Janelle told him, "The kids are all very kind. Some are born with disabilities, some have lost both parents, but there’s a light in their eyes, purer than normal kids. Uncle Quinn takes very good care of them. They are well-dressed and their diet is well managed."
"Who is Uncle Quinn?"
"He’s the director of the orphanage, my mom’s high school classmate, a kind-hearted and warm middle-aged man. He used up all his family savings to build the orphanage, which eventually led to his wife leaving him."
In Janelle’s eyes, Uncle Quinn gave all his love to the kids.
He was a truly great person.
"These children are fortunate," Trevor was moved, "You and your mom are very kind."
She said, "We’re just doing a little bit, Uncle Quinn is the one bringing happiness to the children."
"Though fate is unfair to them, the heavens have let them meet such a good uncle." Trevor felt happy for them.
"Yeah, I often think that the kids must be happy because they don’t need to follow the normal living routines like others, so they don’t have the worries that normal people endure. Innocence will always be with them."
"Yes." Trevor drove the car, glancing again at her, "They might think we’re unhappy, that we live too laboriously."
"That’s why everyone’s understanding of happiness is different. Happiness is what you feel yourself." Janelle turned to look out the window, "Right now, our happiness depends on Jocelyn coming back safely."
"Hopefully, there will be good news. After all, without recovering a body, we can’t draw a conclusion."
"Yes, yes." She also hoped so.
They didn’t take the mountain road back to town as it had been raining frequently, and Trevor didn’t dare to take any more risks with her.
They had already escaped death twice.
This time, they took a longer route and then hit the highway.
"By the way, the thing you were supposed to do..." Janelle turned her eyes to his profile, "You didn’t get it done."
Trevor looked ahead, his expression calm, "It’s okay, we can send Simon to investigate just the same."

The helicopter landed on the large lawn in front of the Emerald Cove villa.
Everyone disembarked via the airstairs, and at the unanimous request of Justin Kingston and Mia Lane, Ian Shelby finally agreed to stay here for a while.
Everyone was concerned about his condition. Having someone to take care of him would be better.
