The Crown's Seduction

Chapter 259: Wash You Up

Mineah only watched as Haman was gruesomely executed before her. She then found herself staring at her husband.

This was the first time she saw Nikolai in such a way that just looking at him could invoke fear in your entire being. It wasn’t his usual and unbothered demeanor. Instead, this was a portrayal of someone that was ruthless and merciless against his enemies. The message was clear, and Mineah hoped that after this incident none of the Clans would ever want to try something like this again.

"Lady Sage just took the Exordium blood and its venom from Haman, right?" Dani whispered from behind her. "Wouldn’t that make her more powerful than the rest of the Exordiums?"

"Yes," Mineah muttered even as her eyes turned to Nikolai. None would ever surpass her husband though, who automatically absorbed a pure Exordium’s power whenever they died.

Or at least, that was what Nikolai told her... what the Mark of Eternity truly symbolized. Whenever an Exordium died, the chosen one harboring the Mark of Eternity would automatically absorb their powers. As such, inside Nikolai’s body were the powers of his father, his Aunt Vania, and four more Exordiums from the other Clans that died because of the dragon souls years ago.

No one was aware of it except for the former King Arturo who also harbored the Mark of Eternity, and Nikolai’s mother Rania. And now, she herself knew of it, and that was what explained that feeling inside of her when she had this urge to get more energy from Nikolai before... It was a strong feeling like no other, and her chaos wanted it.

Mineah let out a deep sigh as she started picking up more pieces of the puzzle about her curse. Still, nothing was certain. In Seer Beirut’s vision, he saw her holding the divine dagger with blood on it, and before her was Nikolai who was bleeding from his chest. His interpretation was as simple as it looked. She had supposedly stabbed Nikolai, but Mineah refused to believe that it was the whole picture of that unclear vision.

But just as she had finished ruminating, she found herself holding onto her chest and closing her eyes. There was this sudden tightness inside her chest, and it was getting quite hard for her to breathe.

"Milady, are you alright?" Dani asked her.
