Chapter 23: SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
Anisha pulled Duciana by the hair as she yelled and dragged her out of the office. Zeeb moved out of the way and closed the door as they left.
"Fucking bitch," I seethed.
"Wow," Zeeb walked over, clapping his hands. "Congratulations, my friend, on your marriage announcement. Which has spread in the entire pack and the pack members are calling you the mad shifter who wants to marry a rogue and die,"
I chuckled at Zeeb’s words, "Who cares? Let them talk"
"A magnet for trouble," Zeeb commended me with his thumbs up and made me burst out laughing.
"Is that all you have to say? You heard the conversation earlier,"
"It seems you have made some discovery and realized that Conri is innocent. "
"Thank you" I responded to Zeeb. He looked at me and asked why I thanked him. "You did not call him a rogue," I muttered in embarrassment.
He nodded just as the door of the office opened and Anisha walked in. She closed the door and turned over to me in anger.
"Lucian!!" she seethed as she stood before me, fuming in anger.
"I was going to inform you. But it seems the news reached you before I could. "I tried to explain.
