Chapter 22: DUCIANA DUE’S VISIT
"News travels fast, huh?" I teased Isla to ease the tension that was radiating off her.
Isla nodded and then added, "Congratulations CEO Lucian on the news of your marriage. ’
I grinned and then asked, "How long has she been here?"
"One hour," Isla stated.
"When did you find out about the contract marriage announcement?"
"Four hours ago," she whispered and her face was filled with shame "A friend from the KODA council offices called me to confirm if I heard the news.
"Thank you, Isla. I will handle this, just pack up and go home, "I instructed her and left.
"Thank you, Sir." I heard the response as I walked into my office.
Upon entry, I found Anisha seated by the window, while Zeeb was seated on the opposite side of my desk, pretending to be scrolling through the phone. Duciana Due sat on the couch, legs crossed, and her beautiful face looked mean. Her demeanor told me she had come for war.
I closed the door and spoke up. "Are you all waiting for me? At this late hour"
"Yes CEO Lucian" Anisha was the first one to speak.
