"Where’s Raelith Rhodes?"

Maedryn Cobb was surprised, but he remained calm, being an outsider here.

Carson Flores made a surprised expression, "Wasn’t he with you?"

Maedryn Cobb stared into Carson’s eyes and said coldly, "After you were chased away by the Crystal Scorpions, he went after you..."

Carson looked puzzled, "He didn’t show up, several Crystal Scorpions were chasing me, and I was running aimlessly, heading downward, which attracted more Crystal Scorpions. I led them in circles and finally used some life-saving measures to hide myself in the sand, suppress my aura, and avoid the Scorpions’ search."

Carson promptly nodded, "Alright, thank you for your care earlier, Cobb!"

Maedryn Cobb chuckled, "It was Raelith Rhodes who looked after you, not me. I didn’t take a single stinger from the Scorpions."

Carson sighed, "I’ll wait here a bit longer, hoping Elder Rhodes is fortunate enough to return safely."

Maedryn Cobb nodded, "Then keep waiting... You mentioned there are quite a few Crystal Scorpions in the Abyss?"

Carson nodded, "Yes, there are quite a few, but there seem to be other cultivators down there as well. While hiding, I heard intense battles faintly, but couldn’t judge the distance..."

Maedryn Cobb smiled, "Alright, I’ll go take a look, take care of yourself."

"Okay!"

Carson cupped his hands, "Take care, Cobb."

Maedryn Cobb gave Carson a deep look, then turned and plunged into the Abyss.

Carson let out a breath of relief; Maedryn Cobb indeed proved to be a lone wolf who didn’t like to meddle. He saw through everything but chose to stay detached, avoiding any involvement.

If Maedryn Cobb wanted to interfere, Carson might have had to prepare to take him down.

Carson now combines five paths into one, mastered the Five Elements Great Escape, and possessed Sword Bone coupled with the Eight-Armed Arhat, which gives him absolute advantage in a head-on contest against Maedryn Cobb’s Hand of Gold.

The Hand of Gold ultimately can’t escape the Five Elements, so his natural fighting advantage wouldn’t hold against Carson.

Carson sat cross-legged above Nebula City, waiting quietly.

Carson nodded, then suddenly asked, "What do you think of Raelith Rhodes?"
