Chapter 191: Food-Making Eccentric
For a long time after reaching adulthood, Judy slept only four hours a day.
She was in the Sixth Speed Tier. After becoming an Extraordinary and undergoing training, she could drop rapidly into deep sleep, making four hours plenty for her body. But when her nerves were damaged and she fell to the Third Speed Tier, those sleep techniques lost their edge. Now she needed five or six hours a day, barely better than an ordinary person.
Otherwise, her energy levels would flag—a severe disadvantage for an Extraordinary.
Her craving for the night had also grown; there was no doubt that darkness brought a much higher quality of rest.
In the two days since the incident at Red Rain House, she hadn't slept properly. Coming off another night patrol, Judy felt the exhaustion setting in.
Back in her wilderness days, she could have slept a mere hour in a vehicle for days on end without ever feeling like this.
It was now morning. In a small, partitioned stall within the staff warehouse meant for Red Rain House employees to rest, Judy listened to the bustling noise of the children outside as she settled onto a spring mattress to sleep.
She had just closed her eyes when a sigh escaped her lips. Her nerves were still deteriorating, and her strength along with them.
Judy didn't know what exactly was going on with Miss Sterling and Lorna Ludd, but she did know that both women wanted to deal with Sid Leikuo.
