Inside the elegantly decorated living room, Ayane Kumiko had Gu He sit on a fabric sofa next to a row of bamboo.

"Oh?" Gu He noticed how serious Miss Ayane sounded. Did something happen?
"A new job." Ayane Kumiko picked up the tea set on the coffee table and poured him a cup of green tea. "Miss Nagano is going to hold a meeting with Miss Sterling. You will attend as the middleman between the Yakuza and Red Rain House."
"This..." Gu He stared blankly, the tea suddenly losing its flavor. "Why me? What am I supposed to do..."
"It's actually nothing much. They won't let you be present during their confidential discussions, but a meeting isn't just about official business. Someone is needed to smooth over the atmosphere before and after, making a middleman host very necessary.
