Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.743 Power Structure Holder and God Recap

Alright. Now that we are back in the future, time to get back to … actually, I don’t really have much to do. I would say I need to prepare a birthday present for Alice soon, but let’s be honest here. I had 80 years in the past. I had to train production skills. Do you really think I don’t have 40 years worth of presents for everyone?

If you said yes, you’d be correct. I only have 38 for Alice, and anywhere from 30 to 50 to the others. But the average is 40.

The thing I actually need to do is spy on the States. Technically I don’t, but I want to. Now that I understand them better, I can definitely figure out everything. Probably.

And it isn’t like I need to go there myself. I can just make a soul copy and have them do it. Better yet, I can make several.

And since I now know I need to find whatever magic circle they used to send Hajime to the past, I know what I’m searching for.

In fact, it took no time at all to find it. I could use a card like Dark Designator to point at it, but why would I do that?

I had new skills I could test out first. Like Heroic Instincts.

Letting them guide me felt a bit strange, but at the same time, they seemed to work quite nicely. Because one of my copies found the magic circle quite quickly.

Now, the reason I hadn’t found it previously was because it was actually quite far away from the city, and I usually only searched within the city. But with access to the magic circle, I could calculate when Hajime would be teleported away from this time.

And it will be soon. By my calculations, he should leave in about two months, or around the start of the fourth month in this world’s calendar. I might be a week off in either direction, but that is my estimate.

During that search, I also found something else. Or more like someone else. A person who was sitting in a room connected to the room holding the magic circle.

He was … something. Probably 40 something in age, the man looked quite a lot like the Hero, Kanata, did. Not like he was Kanata’s father or anything, but the same dark hair, similar eyes, and similar general body structure. In short, he looked Japanese. I’m not sure if he actually was Japanese, but I feel like there is at least a small chance he is. He was also kneeling on what looked like it could be tatami mats. I don’t know where he got them from, but he has a matter manipulator living in his country, so I do have an idea.

I tried to Appraise the man, but some sort of skill blocked the Appraisal. He immediately got up and used magic, Soul Search specifically. He found my soul copy and used Soul Annihilation on it. And since my copies can’t wear the same clothes as I do, the copy can’t wear Protection of Ami, thus it was annihilated.

But to annihilate a copy of my soul. That is impressive. Sure just a soul copy isn’t nearly as durable as I am. I mean, just look at Janina. And Janina’s scale copy uses a divine dragon scale as a base. Mine just uses my soul, and they manifest a body with One of Every Race if they need to have a physical body. So they aren’t even as durable as Janina’s scale copy.

But still, you’d need to be over level 100 to cast multiple Soul Magic spells that quickly while having them have the power needed to annihilate my soul copy.

And since my soul copy was destroyed, it might be worth seeing what is happening there myself. So dawning the Protection of Ami, and hidden by my most used Pack Opener abilities, I teleported to the room where my copy was destroyed.

The Japanese man I spotted earlier had kneeled back down and closed his eyes. He was still actively using Soul Search, but that cannot locate me.

I was tempted to show myself, but sadly I cannot. If I ruin their plans, I’ll change the future, which will change the past, which will change the current. Fricking time travel. I love it, but it does make acting without thinking 17 steps ahead impossible.

I just kept observing the man. And he really was just kneeling there, almost like he was meditating or something. From time to time, he would say a few words. Usually "arigato", followed by a name. So he was thanking people for … something.

Eventually I realized what. That came when I heard him say "Arigato, Hajime-kun". And that came after a soul copy of mine had just seen Hajime talking to his non-communication crystal. The one he talked to to do something, even if the crystal had nothing to do with communication.

And now I know what that something is. He was clearly reporting to this guy. And considering that he called Hajime Hajime-kun, which if I remember correctly, kun is used for people who are your juniors. It is something like ‘respected junior’.

And I think there is only one person who could call Hajime his junior. The holder of Power Structure himself.

So a Japanese person reincarnated or was otherwise transported into this world, and got the Power Structure unique skill. And now he is using it to take down the Goddess. I wonder why he hates her? What did she do to him? Or is it against his belief that there can be a different God than the one he believes in?

I’ll find that out when I confront him. The only thing the States need to do is send Hajime to the past and then they are free game.

Now, the other thing. Releasing my recordings of the past as a movie or a TV series. Internet series, but whatever.

There is a small problem with that. That problem is called Hajime. I can’t really tell the world what happened until Hajime goes to the past. The States might change their mind about what they’ll do if I do.

But that is for when I share it with the world. I can share it with the System Gods before that.

Getting a meeting with the Goddess was no problem. She was ready for my report and had been waiting for one since I came back two days ago.

Yes, Laura forwarded her a preliminary report which basically said: “Everything went well.”, but I knew she wanted more details. And since the Gods can’t spy on Numeron Code skills, they weren’t able to observe our watchparty.

I was the first to arrive at the System Parlor. I could now get there by myself, since I realized how it worked. I also quickly tested if I could alter it like I did in the past, and I still could. I quickly tested if I could delete everything, and I could do that. So I still had full access.

I decided to check if I could bring up some sort of settings menu, and just thinking about it brought it up. And with it, I altered the settings from ‘anyone can alter the room’ to ‘only Ultimate System Supports, and those given a permission by a System God, can alter the room’. I also locked those settings so that it would need either three System Gods or my own permission to change them.

Yeah. I backdoored the System Parlor. What about it?

It didn’t take all that long until the Goddess appeared in the room, but she wasn’t alone. Another God followed after her, the Divine Lord. The two of them, familiar with the room, made chairs appear for themselves as they sat down at the round table.

“We heard your trip went well.” The Goddess began. “We wish to have some of the details, if you would. Especially if there are important things you need to tell us. Laura’s report noted that you did learn something important.”

“I am here just to listen.” The Divine Lord noted. “The other two want someone to listen in.”

“Alright. And yeah, there is something you need to know. About the Demon Lord, specifically.” I began. “The demon lord is named Hajime Maō, an artificial Magic Elf living within the United States on this continent, at this time.”

I let the two of them take that in, before quickly recapping my adventurers in the past.

The two were surprised that I was as young as I was, considering how long I was in the past, but as we were talking about that, another God appeared in the room. Specifically the Great God.

“It is because of his race. He carries the lifespan multipliers of every race he holds.” The Great God said. “Dragon Hearted, Body of a Soul, Melusine, Scylla, Fenrir-kin, Spiritual Being, Prism-Ice Being, High Elf. And those are just the big ones. Each of these races has a longer lifespan than a human, even an advanced human. Their combined effect means your natural lifespan is at least in the thousands of years.” He explained.

“... okay.” I was a little taken back, but yeah, that does explain some things. “... did you come here just for that?” I asked.

“No. I was listening in, so I wished to know what you plan to do regarding individual Hajime?” The Great God asked.

“Nothing. Because we can’t do anything.” I told him. I then quickly recapped why. “If we kill him, or stop him from going to the past, there will be no demon lord. There will be no Hero. And there will be no Goddess. So we literally cannot touch him, or the reason you sent me to the past doesn’t exist, and the entire timeline will be fucked.”

“Not the most elegant way of putting it, but you do seem to be correct.” The Great God agreed.

“Yeah. See that is your problem. None of you know Time Magic. The timeline mess gets … messy. The All-Mighty might have been a lazy bum, but he knew Time Magic and how this world’s timeline bullshit worked.”

“You spoke with him?” The Divine Lord asked.

“Yeah. In this room. In fact, during that conversation I decorated this room.” I told them.

“You did?” The Goddess asked.

“Well you didn’t.” I told her. “Unless you did, in which case we have a problem.”

“No, I didn’t.” She confirmed. “I inherited it from the All-Mighty, but he never told me anything about it.”

“Yeah. It was just a blank white room when he pulled me in here. I changed it to be like this when I made it.” I told them. “Pretty easy to show as well.” I said while pointing at one of the paintings on a wall. I flipped it over with Telekinesis and revealed the ‘HomeBase mark’ on the other side of it.

“And that isn’t even the only thing in this room I made. Well, I think inspired is the correct word. Because, fun fact, you my dear Goddess,” I said while pointing at her. “Your looks are based on my demon form, Aspirin. Thought then again I made Aspirin based on you, so … time loops.”

“...” The three Gods were wordless at that, so I continued.

“I know a few other fun things as well. Like the original name of Tamaki and the true name of the Hero.” I teased.

And as we got to the part of the story when Kanata came in, something strange happened.

An item from my Storage took itself out of Storage, on its own without my input. And if you guessed the item in question was the Timeline Staff I got from the All-Mighty, you’d be correct.

I wasn’t exactly sure why it wanted to come out, but I caught it and let it do its business. The Gods just looked at it in wonder, but they didn’t say anything.

I wasn’t exactly sure what the stave did, but it clearly did something to the Goddess as she was reacting the most. Her eyes began to shift colors extremely fast, almost as if she was … she was re-seeing the past!

The staff somehow brought back her memories! The ones lost by the Hero’s sacrifice.

… Didn’t know it could do that, but that’s pretty cool. Wonder why the All-Mighty never did that? … oh right. He gave it to me before he could. Did he know the staff could do that? Remind other people of things they had forgotten because of a higher power? Maybe even things in other timelines?

“Brian.” The Goddess spoke up. “Where did you acquire that staff?”

“The All-Mighty gave it to me. He did explain what it can do, but he didn’t tell me it can give people back lost memories.” I answered.

“It seems to be a tool of a God. You shouldn’t have it.” The Great God said, being against me for the first time.

“... yeah, probably. But Laura is now Ultimate, so she does qualify for the System God position. Sure there are no open spots, but she does. Thus I qualify for the staff. And not like any of you should hold it. No Time Magic, remember.” I pointed out.

“That doesn’t matter. Hand it over.” The Great God demanded. He stood up and held out his hand. “If your System Support is to take on the position of a God, then we shall return it.”

“Sorry, but it's not happening.” I said, staying calm. “The All-Mighty told me about the three of you. Do you know what he said? He said something I promised I wouldn’t tell you, but since you are being like this…”

“Brian, Stop!” The Goddess said. She must have felt my raising mana levels, as I was preparing to put up a Time Barrier.

But I did as the Goddess asked and stopped circulating the mana outside of my body, while bringing the stave closer to my body. I didn’t think the Great God would try anything more, but just in case. I’m down to throw down with a God if necessary. Because even if they are Gods, they can still be affected by certain kinds of Magic, including Time Magic. Well, their God state might, but the individual System Agents aren't immune. And the Timeline Staff should power up my Time Magic to the point where even these Gods aren't immune. Not that I'm looking for a fight. Just defense in case The Great God tries to take the staff from me.

“You. Sit back down.” She continued, looking directly at the Great God. He hesitated a bit, but did sit back down.

“Now.” She continued. “We have an order for how we do these things, don’t we?” She asked. “If you feel like the staff should be held by one of us, we must vote for it. So shall we?”

“Yes.” The Great God answered.

And just a few seconds later, a System Screen popped up for me.

The Great God has demanded that Holder Ami Brian Wood hand the Timeline Staff, which he obtained from the All-Mighty, over to him. As the Timeline Staff is a God weapon, it must be handed over. Do you agree?
Yes / No

I naturally pressed no, but the screen bothered me. I know why it popped up, that isn’t the issue. It popped up because Laura is ultimate. I have the right to vote in these kinds of things because of it. But the information it held was lacking.

So I quickly tried to see if I could add information to it, and I could. So naturally, I did.

The Great God has demanded that Holder Ami Brian Wood hand the Timeline Staff, which he obtained from the All-Mighty, over to him. As the Timeline Staff is a God weapon, it must be handed over.
However, the Timeline Staff was specifically given to Holder Ami Brian Wood by the All-Mighty for reasons currently unknown to the other Gods. It also cannot be used by anyone who doesn’t have significant skills with Time Magic. As such, the only one capable of using it, who also is an Ultimate System Support, or has an Ultimate System Support, is Holder Ami Brian Wood.
Should the Staff be handed over to The Great God?
Yes / No / No opinion

I don’t think my alterations altered the results much, as ten votes had already come in by the time I updated the question. And me updating it made the Great God look a bit more angry, but it is what it is.

The votes were four for yes, six for no. The four yes votes likely came from the four Ultimates that made up the Great God, while my single vote, the Goddess’ three and the Divine Lord’s two equal six.

And with the Lord of All only being two Ultimates, the best they can do is match us.

But as it turns out, we didn’t have to worry. The two last ultimates voted with No opinion, an answer I added which would not affect the vote, but would show that they’ve acknowledged the vote.

So the staff stayed with me, and the Great God sat back down. Even if he didn’t like the results.

So I got back to showing them the past. I used the room to make four System screens appear, one in front of each of us. I then began to play a highlight reel of moments from the past.

One of the moments that really took the Goddess away was when I had to get involved against Hajime. While the Timeline Staff had brought back her memories of it, she was still observing it intensely. It is a shame she forgot, but had to. If she knew, RIP timeline.

That led her to question how she remembered her appearance, when she forgot Aspirin. Sadly I didn’t have the full facts, only a theory. And that theory is that she was able to remember her form as she was manifested in that form when she forgot who her form was based on. She couldn’t forget what she currently was, thus she kept that appearance. But since Sana, Kanata’s name for his System Support before he lost his memories, was part of the Goddess at the time, he forgot her voice and thus Tamaki was born.

Sana naturally came from Anastasia. It is just the start of it backwards. He didn’t want to directly use Anastasia for the name, as he felt that maybe he could save Anastasia. And admittedly, he did feel attraction towards Anastasia. Not quite sure how I feel about that.

After we were done with the Goddess’ part of the story, we had to call it quits. The Gods had other things to do other than watching my memories. And sadly … actually, I never tested that. In theory I can bring them to the memory palace. And time doesn’t pass there. But I didn’t try it, so next time.

I didn’t and wasn’t going to show them my conversation with the All-Mighty. The Great God clearly showed they still have some immaturity, so they shouldn’t have that pointed out to them. And I’m not even sure how the Gods fucked up to the point where a reset was needed.

Besides, I’m not even sure if I can use the Timeline Staff to return their memories from erased timelines. I think I can, I just don’t know how. So they might think the All-Mighty lied.

And since I mentioned the Memory Palace earlier, does it remember the erased timelines? Because it might. Or maybe should is the better word. It remembers the altered timelines I’ve lived through, as shown with the ‘big jump’. So it might be able to show completely erased timelines. But that is for later.

I did ask the Goddess if I’d be allowed to upload an edited version of the past to my Internet for people to watch, and she agreed as long as she could watch over the final product before it went out.

At least it wasn’t a no. And I think she’ll enjoy what I have planned. As I plan on Aspirin being an avatar of the Goddess that was corrupted by the Demon Lord, and she is then saved during the final battle, and the prayer circle that summoned her in the true timeline will instead somehow release her from the demonic body and let her be the true Goddess she was always meant to be.

But semantics. I need to ponder how I’ll retell the story in a way where I’m not involved.
