Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.729 Dragons of Legend 2 and High-Speed Riders

Today is another fissure day. Because we just can never be done with them.

Okay, I know Pack Opener could theoretically solve it permanently. Either by giving me access to Holactie the Creator of Light or by getting Numeron Code to the state where it can do Reality Manipulation. At least those are my theories for how I could solve the issue.

The second is the System God route. Basically the Gods would have to rank all six of our System Supports to ultimate and we could combine them into a God who can fix the barrier. At least in theory.

And why all six instead of just 3? Well, the Goddess had 3 powered by a unique skill that contained the power of a God from outside the System and she could only do a temporary repair. So while in theory just four or five of our System Supports might be able to fix the barrier, it is likely that they’d need an outside powersource to do that.

Anyway. That is for later. For now, I have a fissure to deal with.

And as always, it was nothing special. I did summon some cool monsters to deal with it though.

Specifically the four dimensional dragons of Arc-V. I just felt like doing so.

And for those who don’t know, that is Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. Except that I don’t have Starwing Venom yet, so I used Starving Venemy Dragon instead.

Spoiler

[collapse]

The four of them worked extremely well together, almost like they are a set or something. So even the SS-rank Void Giant that appeared didn’t take too long to deal with.

Yeah. A Void Giant. A Space Magic knowing giant human-ish monster. Not the most fun thing to deal with, but Clear Wing and Starving Venemy negated its effects, Dark Rebellion nuked its attack and Odd-Eyes just did a ton of damage.

Maybe next time I’ll summon Arcray Dragon. Or perhaps I’ll just pull Z-Arc and summon it. Or I could summon both at the same time.

Back on HomeBase, I opened Pack Opener. I got two sets, again, so time for 10 packs of each.

The sets of choice were Dragons of Legend 2 and High-Speed Riders.

I don’t remember exactly what DRL2 has, probably more of the Legendary Dragon fusions, but I do remember that High-Speed Riders has Hot Red Dragon stuff and some of the Psy-Frame stuff. … what? I like those cards so I remember what set they came from. Yes there should also be some Speedroids, but those are less important. I mean the best part of Speedroids are Clear Wing and Crystal Wing. And they aren’t even Speedroids.

But let's just open ten packs of Dragons of Legend 2 before I worry about those.

Spoiler

DRL2 1

Aquarium Stage; Aqua Story - Urashima; Prediction Princess Arrowsylph; Double Magical Arm Bind; Mimicat

[collapse]

Oh? The Aquarium cards are in this set. I know they aren’t the best, but I still like them. I mean, big attack is big attack, even if tiny fishes have that big attack. Aquarium Stage is quite nice, giving both battle and monster effect protection.

Aqua Story - Urashima can be used to nerf an opposing monster, or situationally protect yours.

Prediction Princess Arrowsylph searches for Ritual Spells.

Double Magical Arm Bind is okay, but needing to tribute 2 monsters for it is a bit expensive.

And Mimicat steals stuff from the opponent’s GY.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 2

Shadow Toon; Prediction Princess Arrowsylph; Tyrant Wing; Aquaactress Tetra; Toon Mask

[collapse]

Shadow Toon does burn damage.

Tyrant Wing giving a 400 attack and defense buff, as well as a second attack, is nice, but then it just has to break itself during the end phase.

Aquaactress Tetra searches for Aquarium cards.

And Toon Mask special summons stuff from the deck.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 3

Aquaactress Guppy; Tyrant Wing; Toon Rollback; Aquaactress Tetra; Goddess Bow

[collapse]

Aquaactress Guppy specials Aquaactress monsters from the hand.

Toon Rollback allows a Toon monster to attack twice that turn. And since it works with Toons, those can be direct attacks.

And the Goddess Bow is honestly kind of disappointing. No attack boost on an equip like that is just sad. But I guess effect negation and double attack are okay. I just expected a bit more from the ‘Goddess Bow’.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 4

Red-Eyes Burn; Reverse Reuse; Aquarium Lighting; Toon Ancient Gear Golem; Comic Hand

[collapse]

Red-Eyes Burn does burn damage. What did you expect?

Reverse Reuse summons 2 Flip monsters from your GY to your opponent’s field in face down defense. So maybe you can give them some Flip monsters with negative effects.

Aquarium Lighting is what makes Aquaactress monsters viable. It just doubles their attack when they battle a monster.

Toon Ancient Gear Golem is just that. Ancient Gear Golem with the usual Toon effects.

And Comic Hand is Snatch Steal that only a Toon deck can use.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 5

Aquarium Stage; Aquaactress Guppy; Aquarium Set; Aquaactress Tetra; Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword

[collapse]

Aquarium Set is the last piece of the Aquarium. Giving 600 more attack to Aquaactress monsters, which Lighting will then double, is what makes them really do a lot of damage. Especially if you have multiple Sets.

And Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword is an old favorite. Sure I don’t use the sword that much these days, but it really was my go to mass destruction sword for a while. I should see if I can make a swordstaff version for Alice. She really is the one using Red-Eyes, not me.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 6

Roulette Spider; Prediction Princess Arrowsylph; Prediction Ritual; Aquarium Stage; Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword

[collapse]

Roulette Spider is a battle trap. Except that it is a quick-play spell. Toss a die, 3 not so good effects, 3 good effects.

And Prediction Ritual is just a Ritual spell.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 7

Prediction Princess Astromorrigan; Prediction Ritual; Red-Eyes Spirit; Aqua Story - Urashima; Prediction Princess Tarotrei

[collapse]

Prediction Princess Astromorrigan is a meh Flip monster.

Red-Eyes Spirit just resurrects Red-Eyes.

And Prediction Princess Tarotrei is kind of cool. Especially how well it works with Pot of the Forbidden.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 8

Black Cat-astrophe; Double Magical Arm Bind; Prediction Princess Coinorma; Aquaactress Guppy; Time Magic Hammer

[collapse]

Black Cat-astrophe can end the battle phase and turn face up monsters face down.

Prediction Princess Coinorma sets Pot of the Forbidden from the deck. Do you need to know more?

And Time Magic Hammer can send monsters into the future.

Next pack.

Spoiler

DRL2 9

Aquarium Set; Toon Rollback; Aquarium Lighting; Tyrant Wing; Prediction Princess Tarotrei

[collapse]

Nothing new here, but it is nice to get another copy of Aquarium Set.

Spoiler

DRL2 10

Tyrant Wing; Roulette Spider; Aquarium Stage; Prediction Princess Coinorma; Legendary Knight Hermos

[collapse]

Legendary Knight Hermos banishes a spell on summon, and it can take on the name and effect of a monster in the GY.

But yeah. Dragons of Legend 2. More like … sucky weapons 2. Okay, Red-Eyes Sword is still fantastic and the Time Hammer isn’t bad. Just the Goddess Bow sucks. And I do like my super powered fishes. Even if I didn’t get the big one.

Now to High-Speed Riders.

Spoiler

HSRD 1

Psychic Overload; Red Dragon Archfiend; Krebons; Vice Dragon; Speedroid Menko; Expressroid; Dark Resonator; Red Sprinter; Red Carpet

[collapse]

Oh right. This set has 9 cards per pack. But most are repeats. Still interesting that it came together with another set, but that must be because of all the repeats.

Speedroid Menko is an okay hand trap.

And Red Sprinter lets you special a level 3 or lower Fiend from hand or GY.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 2

Red Resonator; Hushed Psychic Cleric; Serene Psychic Witch; Speedroid Menko; PSY-Framegear Epsilon; Synchro Cracker; Speedroid Double Yoyo; Hot Red Dragon Archfiend; PSY-Frame Circuit

[collapse]

Red Resonator I already had. I got it as a reward for the Synchro challenge.

PSY-Framegear Epsilon negates traps and then does the whole Psy-Frame thing.

Synchro Cracker does mass destruction by returning a Synchro to the extra deck.

Speedroid Double Yoyo resurrects a level 3 or lower Speedroid on summon.

Hot Red Dragon Archfiend destroys all other face-up Attack Position monsters on the field.

And PSY-Frame Circuit is what makes the Psy-Frame strategy work. Sure you can use them without it, but it just really makes everything tick.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 3

Serene Psychic Witch; Krebons; Psychic Overload; Armoroid; Red Dragon Archfiend; Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice; Chain Resonator; Speedroid Taketomborg; PSY-Framegear Delta

[collapse]

Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice can negate attacks.

Chain Resonator is nice, allowing for special summoning from the deck.

Speedroid Taketomborg specials itself and you can tribute it to special summon a Speedroid Tuner from the deck.

And PSY-Framegear Delta negates spells.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 4

Red Resonator; Synkron Resonator; Krebons; Chain Resonator; Expressroid; Cardcar D; Speedroid Menko; Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice; PSY-Frame Overload

[collapse]

Synkron Resonator is a free special summon.

Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice I already had. Again, the Synchro challenge.

PSY-Frame Overload can banish stuff, but the better effect is banishing itself to search for PSY-Frame stuff.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 5

Chain Resonator; Expressroid; Synkron Resonator; Red Resonator; Dark Resonator; PSY-Framegear Epsilon; Supercharge; Stardust Spark Dragon; Dice Roll Battle

[collapse]

Stardust Spark Dragon I already had. It was in a promo trade I got from a flower planting.

And Dice Roll Battle is way too situational, and not even good in that situation.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 6

Psychic Overload; Supercharge; Resonator Call; Serene Psychic Witch; Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice; Vice Dragon; Psychokinesis; Red Wyvern; PSY-Frame Overload

[collapse]

Red Wyvern will just pop a card once during the time it is on the field.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 7

Serene Psychic Witch; PSY-Framegear Alpha; Chain Resonator; Silent Psychic Wizard; Red Cocoon; Synchro Cracker; Mystical Space Typhoon; Hot Red Dragon Archfiend; PSY-Frame Circuit

[collapse]

PSY-Framegear Alpha specials itself and Driver when your opponent normal or special summons a monster.

Red Cocoon is a great trap that turns off the effects of opposing monsters and resurrects a Red Dragon Archfiend when destroyed.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 8

Hushed Psychic Cleric; Armoroid; Compulsory Evacuation Device; Chain Resonator; Red Cocoon; Red Dragon Archfiend; Expressroid; PSY-Framelord Zeta; PSY-Frame Circuit

[collapse]

PSY-Framelord Zeta can banish both itself and an opposing monster until the next standby. And it can return itself to the extra deck to return a PSY-Frame card to hand.

Next pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 9

Supercharge; Psychic Overload; Armoroid; Krebons; PSY-Framegear Alpha; Synchro Cracker; PSY-Framegear Epsilon; Mirror Resonator; Red Nova Dragon

[collapse]

Nothing new here. To the last pack.

Spoiler

HSRD 10

Speedroid Double Yoyo; Silent Psychic Wizard; Serene Psychic Witch; Psychic Overload; Resonator Call; Hushed Psychic Cleric; Krebons; Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice; Speedroid Razorang

[collapse]

Speedroid Razorang is okay, but nothing crazy.

And that was it. Two new sets. Some decent new cards, some not so decent.
