CH.730 Completing Clash of Rebellions
Today I was doing another time travel test. One that came to be necessary because of the big jump and me learning that I can alter the timeline.
The premise was simple. I was going to not do a jump a future me had done. So basically, as I currently am, I’d decided that I would travel to the past in about an hour, read a dedicated script to my past self, and come back to the current. But when I’m the ‘future me’, I won’t actually do it.
That was the idea. But since there could be a problem, I decided on a few backup plans.
If a future version of me didn’t arrive when expected, I’d travel back to the past myself at the correct time and read out the script. And since that past version of me has then heard the script from me, he won’t time travel back.
This should cause a paradox where the me who has heard the script won’t travel back in time, but the me that hasn’t will. And I wanted to see how that alters the timeline.
It was honestly an interesting experiment. But only as a thought experiment.
I never met my future self, and when I tried to travel back to the past, I was prevented from interacting with myself.
I don’t know exactly how, but the System itself prevented me from appearing in front of myself, so I couldn’t read him the script, so he assumed he would have to travel back in time.
Or in short, the System prevented me from performing something that would end up an unfixable paradox.
But that is an answer to another question I had. What happens if I try to purposefully make a paradox? And the answer is, the System tries to prevent me from doing that.
I probably could cause one if I tried even more, but it honestly isn’t worth the effort. And then the world would have to correct it. Better just to go with the flow instead of against it.
And even if I did cause one, the System would probably do a rollback or something. I don’t really gain anything from causing one either.
Now, time for some more Pack Opener. Yes, I know I’ve been working on it a lot, but that is because I had a lot of sets to complete, and I’ve been getting new ones as well.
And let's be honest here, I’m going to get more any day now. It has been long enough since the last fissure.
But there isn’t one today, so I’ll just complete another set today. The CORE set at that. Clash of Rebellions.

Okay. 24 new cards. Not bad.
Dragong is a scale 7 Normal Pendulum and it doesn’t even have a Pendulum effect.
Igknight Templar is an Inknight.
Fluffal Mouse lets you special summon 2 copies of it from the deck. So basically free Link material, as long as you are summoning Frightfur monsters.
The Black Stone of Legend special a Red-Eyes from the deck.
Escher the Frost Vassal specials itself if your opponent has 2 or more spells or traps on the field.
Kozmo Goodwitch is fine, but not something I really need. The battle position switch is okay, as is special summon from hand. But I still have free summons. … admittedly I think some Kozmo monsters can’t be normal summoned, so for that Goodwitch will be nice.
Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer was pretty busted in the TCG, but for me it is just okay.
Xiangsheng Magician is fine. The ‘turn Xyz monster to have a level’ effect is nice for some of the Odd-Eyes Xyz monsters, and the effect to take on the attack of another monster on the field is also useful.
Xiangke Magician can also turn Xyz monsters rank into a level. But with it, the level is equal to the rank, so Xiangsheng is better. Xiangke can also negate the effects of a Light attribute monster.
Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon seems good at first glance. I mean, 2400 burn after every battle this monster is involved in is great. Then you realize it is a Gemini monster, so it is way too slow to actually be good.
Igknight Lancer wants you to destroy 3 Igknights to special summon itself. Which isn’t a problem. Then you can return an Igknight to the hand to return a spell or trap to the bottom of your opponent’s deck.
Performage Trapeze Magician is quite nice. Not only does it protect you from burn damage less than 2500, it also allows for double attacks. At the cost of the monster dying during the end phase. And when Trapeze Magician dies, you get to special a Performage from the deck.
D/D/D Marksman King Tell can weaken opposing monsters while burning for 1k.
Hi-Speedroid Kendama does piercing, can do burn damage, and can special itself from the GY.
Superheavy Samurai Ogre Shutendoji does Feather Duster on summon.
Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer is crazy good. It can non-target bounce a card and it specials monsters from the deck. Just an amazing Synchro monster.
Archfiend Black Skull Dragon prevents card and effect use when it attacks, and after battle can burn for 2400 damage.
Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond can special Gem-Knight fusions. Ignoring summoning conditions. Meaning it can also make new ones I don’t have access to yet.
And the last card from the extra deck is Infernoid Tierra. Now I can easily summon it with 10 materials, but it really isn’t all that great. I’ll just mill myself with the effect. Sure it should rip all the mana from my opponent, but at that point I should just be summoning The Wicked Emptiness.
Bubble Barrier is a decent defensive card. Once per turn destruction protection plus complete battle damage protection.
Cards of the Red Stone is a draw 2, but quite a limited one at that. It only works in a really dedicated Red-Eyes deck, and even then, Allure of Darkness might be better.
Red-Eyes Fusion is stupid. Sure the limitation it has is debilitating, but being able to summon using materials from the deck is always busted.
Void Imagination is a tool to summon Infernoid Tierra.
And Storming Mirror Force is quite nice. Just push away everyone who is trying to attack me.

Now to check what I didn’t get.
And apparently I was still missing 7 cards. Plus I got an extra 3 cards that were in Clash of Rebellions: Special Edition after I got all the other cards.
Igknight Crusader is another Igknight.
Infernoid Decatron can change its name and level.
Archfiend Eccentrick can either destroy a spell/trap, or a monster. Depending on if it is a monster or a Pen scale.
Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning is another stupid Gemini. And sure the Gemini effect is nice, but it is still a Gemini.
Tatsunoko is a synchro tuner and it lets you use a monster from the hand for a Synchro summon.
Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon can place a Pendulum Monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone. Which means it can make new cards. And if you summon it using an Xyz monster, you get to destroy all level 7 and lower monsters, and burn for 1000 times the number of monsters destroyed. And it can attack 3 times.
Absorb Fusion searches for a Gem-Knight and then lets you perform a Fusion.

And that was the main set. Now the 3 Special Edition cards.
Engraver of the Mark has a strange declare effect, and it can also delay destroy a monster.
Frightfur Tiger destroys stuff up to the number of fusion materials used for its summon. And All "Frightfur" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each "Fluffal" monster and "Frightfur" monster you control.
And Destruction Sword Flash banishes all monsters your opponent controls. And can negate targeting effects.

But yeah. That is Clash of Rebellions completed.
