Holding onto that resolution, Zenith marched a few steps closer and tapped Barnes on his shoulder, before cryptically rolling his onyx eyes at him, "If you truly don’t consider Aiden anything else apart from your family, then how will you feel if Aiden finds someone else who becomes way more important to him than you ever would be? How would it feel to watch him getting stolen away by someone else when you didn’t get your chance yet?"
His low but intense mumble startled Barnes a bit, but he could evidently sense the depth behind his words. He was taken aback, but before his could bring himself to speak a word in defense, Zenith muttered with another pat, "You should have a clearer vision of your feelings, Mr. Barnes. Instead of living the rest of your life in regret, figure out your emotions first."
’My feelings? Do I...really consider Master Aiden someone more precious to me than a family?’ Taken aback by his inquisitive observation, Mr. Barnes pondered deeply in his mind while Zenith proceeded to walk away from there.

A dense expression grew on Zenith’s face as he fixated his gaze on him, "I will be leaving for Agastya Mansion today, and will do my best to return as early as possible. But until I come back, make sure not a single strand of my Kyle’s hair hasn’t been touched by any students, especially any other Alpha. You must protect him and keep a keen watch over him as well. He might act stubbornly and ask you to go away, but make sure to follow my orders strictly, Mr. Barnes.
In return, I will deal with Mr. Clark for you and will make sure he won’t reinstate you anywhere else from the campus. Consider it as my way of supporting you in this endeavor, so make sure you figure out your emotions first, Mr. Barnes. How does the deal sound to you?"
While he proclaimed, Zenith had a determined look shimmering in those dark eyes which gave Barnes a sheer amount of hope to pursue the difficult mission he had been assigned with. With a gulp, he nodded and bowed his head before Zenith before conveying it to him.
"Rest assured, Young master. In your absence here, I will make sure to protect Kylian with my all might. He won’t face any difficulty, so you can leave peacefully."
"Fine, then that’s the deal." When Zenith stretched his hand for a formal handshake, Barnes obediently accepted his greeting with a confident glimmer on his face, as if he felt hopeful about Zenith keeping his promise to him.
But while shaking his hand, a sudden inquisitive thought grew inside Barnes’s mind, making him ponder, ’I have noticed quite a few times that Alphas tend to be extra protective of their pairs, but mostly, that’s supposed to be the case when his partner is an omega.
