Chapter 173: He spoke to me?
[FLASHBACK: 14 YEARS AGO, REMSWORTH MANSION]

"I-Isn’t that...Master Aiden’s cry?"
Even though every room inside the mansion was built soundproof, little Aiden’s heartwrenching cries from those burnt scars growing on his body were audible outside the room, making Barnes immediately recognize his voice! Unable to hide himself anymore, Barnes couldn’t stop his panicking steps from rushing inside the room, opening the door with a loud bang!
But the sight in front of him was beyond Barnes’s worst imagination.
"AHHH, I-IT HURTS! M-MY BODY IS BURNING...AAHHH...EEEKK!!" Cowering on the floor helplessly, with his clothes completely soaked from the splash of hot water, Aiden was deliberately crying for help! His exposed fair white side neck had morphed with gruesome dark scars, with droplets of blood trickling down his body as if his soft skin was ripping apart from those scars!
Witnessing his sudden arrival inside the room out of the blue, Lorelia didn’t take a step ahead to help her son and rather chose to glower at little Barnes with her murderous gaze. The head maid was still shivering from dread, crouching on the floor with a petrified gaze towards Aiden, as if she had lost her ability to stand still.
Even though the horrifying sight stunned Barnes badly from the inside, at that moment he didn’t have spare time to waste from panicking when Aiden was so brutally churned! Immediately Barnes ran towards the fridge at the corner of the room and grabbed out icepacks, before running swiftly back to his young master.
Suppressing his tears with a grit on his jaws, Barnes took off his shirt and wrapped those ice packs inside it, before he embraced Aiden tightly with his small shivering arms, to compress the ice on his scars.
"Aughh...I...I am...burning...Ahhh...B-Bunny...I...I am gonna die..." After those initial moments of enduring a brutal blazing sensation all over his small vulnerable body, finally sensing Barnes’s touch with his blurry tear-soaked eyes, Aiden whimpered, trying to hold onto his arm with his shivering fingertips, "S-Save me...B-Bunny...S-Save me...D-Don’t leave..."
"I-I am here with you, Master Aiden! I am not going anywhere! You won’t die...I won’t let anything happen to you..." Tears of grief and extreme remorse streamed down his small face, making Barnes hold Aiden’s trembling body tighter in his embrace as if he were trying to calm him down, at least a little.
