Chapter 157: You don’t remember my face?
The mountain trekking was indeed a very tedious journey, and all along the way, they encountered a few more snakes which Kylian dealt with on his own.
It took them almost mid-day to reach the waterfall, but when they were close to it, Kylian could hear the sound of water falling from the top to crash across the rocks deeper below...which got him excited like a little child when he pointed his finger towards the way from where the sound was coming from.
"Zenith, can you hear it? The waterfall...I think we are close to it now!" Out of excitement, Kylian grabbed Zenith’s hand and quickly ran in that direction, even though both of them were already worn out from the tedious journey.
However, watching Kylian getting happy like an innocent child over such a small thing, it made Zenith realize what a simple life Kylian must have lived until now, compared to him who had experienced all the luxuries in the world, yet still, he found his most beautiful solace in someone like Kylian.
And indeed just as he had assumed, after just a minute of running, both of them reached the high-rise cliff from where the magnificently beautiful waterfall surrounded by thick green forest with a huge rainbow bridge curved on top of it was prominently visible to them.
The scenery was so endearingly beautiful that it made Kylian mesmerized with the beauty, much more compared to what he had felt while watching that scenery with Aiden from the rooftop.
When he slid his glance curiously at Zenith, he found just like him, Zenith also had an enchanted gaze in his big dilated eyes, with a wide smile as he asserted, "Woah...the scenery looks dreamy...just like a painting, isn’t it?"
’That means he liked it too, right? I am glad I was successful in bringing him here.’ Pondering on his own, the radiant smile on Kylian’s face grew more vibrant along with the mild chirping sound of birds surrounding the beautiful ambiance. It was so peaceful that both of them stared still at the scenery, inhaling the fresh air from the mountains that lifted up their mood.
The cliff where they stood had metal railing as a barrier as if to prevent accidents from falling into the deep gorge where the water was falling with massive force against the big rocks. It was quite sure to assume if anyone mistakenly falls into the gorge, there would be no chance of survival.
