Chapter 99: In Big Trouble
It was an undisturbed, long, cozy sleep that was too rare and precious for Zenith to attain after a prolonged period of time since he remembered the last time.
Unable to sleep at night from being haunted by the nightmares of his dark past, most of the time Zenith had to rely on heavy doses of sleeping pills, or sometimes give himself the shot of a few illegal drugs.
But due to Dr. Albert’s restriction on overusing such deplorable pills and drugs which were greatly impacting his health, whenever the situation became too unbearable for him, Zenith would have to rely on hardcore sex for exhausting himself to the point of just passing out at night.
Irrespective of their gender or traits, except the omegas, sometimes Zenith would have to summon prostitutes from outside, or he would take any person inside the Academy who approach him for their own benefit to bed, mostly betas, only for the sake of getting a few hours of black out at least.
And without even realizing it himself, this scandalous events had started to happen more than 5 times a week, increasing the severity of the condition to the certain extent that lately Zenith didn’t even remember the face of those people whom he took in bed last.
Struck to his own rule of never sleeping with one person again after once, it had become a tedious job for Mr. Clark to find suitable partners for Zenith every day to vent out his pent up stress and fatigue.
But never had Zenith imagined, things would start to go in a different way since the day he found Kylian.
His soft, sweet scent bearing an uncanny resemblance to the fragnance of fresh peonies would miraculously aid him to sleep or at least help him to relax even when his pheromones would emit uncontrollably stronger.
Initially, he refused to believe his hunch as the truth, but when he could easily doze off in the class just by having Kylian next to him, a part of his cold-heart and weary soul which had been indulged in a consistent conflict for all these years could finally realize, perhaps, they had found their little solace.
Zenith didn’t know for how long he had been asleep, but the second he jolted his head up from the desk, he found himself seated inside the big empty classroom, without the trace of Kylian’s scent anywhere near him.
Unknowingly a wave of uneasiness hit him inside when he glanced at his wristwatch, figuring out that he had been asleep for over an hour after the class! Up until now, Zenith had never let his guard down in the public place, especially when thre were several students present.
But now, quickly reaching to the extent when he could be in his vulnerable self in front of Kylian, Zenith softly smiled on his own. He realized his cold-heart had finally sought a shelter within someone, whom he knew wouldn’t take advantage of him or hurt him, which most of the people had intended to do to him until now.
