Chapter 290: Bandit
Despite trying to talk down Mr. Wallace’s attempt to throw Xander out of the mansion, he paid deaf ears to their words.
Meanwhile, Xander, being a lot more hurt by his father’s words, left the mansion without any further argument.
Mr Wallace was slightly taken aback when he saw Xander ready to leave the mansion.
He believed the boy would come back since he still needed his father to fend for himself. If Xander wanted to play the character of a stubborn child, Mr Wallace was more than ready to play the character of the unwilling and strong-headed father.
Luckily for Xander, he still had his phone in the back of his pocket, which was the only thing he took along with him.
"Xander, you need to come back to the house. Don’t listen to anything Father has said to you. He probably had a bad day at the office and he’s just trying to vent out his frustration," Xavier tried to explain to Xander.
"And for what? So that I can be criticized by that man again? I’ve had it, Xavier!! It’s obvious he only cares about the status our family name carries more than what I want. And of course you..." Xander trailed off. "I’m sure if you were the one who was dating someone like Arabella, father wouldn’t even bat an eyelash. He would leave you to do whatever you wanted."
"Father has been in a bad mood recently and I’m sure that’s why he was behaving this way. Don’t listen to anything he says and come back inside." Xavier tried to urge him further, but Xander shook his head.
"What are you still doing here? Get out of my house!!"
