Chapter 291: Is He Kidnapped?
Xander had been going to a martial arts class but he wasn’t strong enough to take down four grown men all by himself.
"I have nothing more to give to you. So please, just take the smartwatch and leave me alone," he pleaded this time around.
The same man scoffed as he took a step towards Xander with a challenging gaze. "And what if we don’t?"
Xander had to back away a little when the pungent breath of the man hit his nose.
"I don’t want any trouble," he managed to say.
"And you won’t get any if you give us all that’s in your pocket," replied the man.
Xander needed his phone, so he wasn’t willing to give it up. He definitely wouldn’t be able to fight all of them so he did the first time that came to his mind. He ran away.
The wind rushed past Xander as he ran as fast as his feet could take him. Unfortunately for him, the bandits were starting to close in on him.
Before he could think of his next move, he felt a hard object being hit across his face and the next time that clouded his mind was nothing but pain—an excruciating pain that forced him to slow down his steps.
"You think you must be tough, huh?" The one who hit Xander on the head mocked. "Sadly you’re just a weakling," he finished as he squatted down to Xander’s level. The others had already caught up to him, and they’d cornered him with no space to run away.
The one that hit him on the head slipped his hands into his pockets and brought out the fat wad of cash.
