Chapter 181: I Own Everything
At the Harrison mansion, Michelle knocked on a door. When Jack opened the door, she asked, "Can I come in?"
He gave her a curious look, sizing her up and down before he spread the door wide for her to come in.
"Hurry up with what you have to say. I have to get ready to go to work," he said, walking towards his bed and settling on it.
Michelle’s hands were rubbing each other, as they turned sweaty due to how anxious she was feeling.
She had been feeling that way since the time she spotted Selene at the Dreamscape building.
"Mother is cheating on Father," she said, waiting to see Jack’s expression. But unfortunately, nothing came.
He stared back at her with a blank look, which was unable to read.
"Aren’t you shocked that Mother has been cheating on Dad for the longest time? She’s not even ashamed of it! She’s not even worried that Dad is going to find out soon..." She trailed off as she realized Jack wasn’t reacting the way she’d expected. His calm expression threw her off, and suddenly it clicked. "You knew about it," she stated, her voice filled with disbelief.
"I’ve known for a very long time, Michelle. I thought you would know sooner, but I guess you aren’t smart enough to see what has been happening in this house. Your whole focus has been on how to get your revenge on Selene," he said, probing up from his bed to walk to his study table.
He toyed with a few books, his face scrunched up in disgust as he sized up the room.
’I can’t wait to have my study,’ he thought to himself.
