Chapter 137: Taking Her To His House
"I would advise you to think before completing that sentence, Derek. I’m sure your father here wouldn’t want to lose his job at the college, am I right, Mr. Williams?" Kace asked the older man who was starting to sweat profusely since he arrived.
Mr. Williams glanced between his son and Kace. He couldn’t afford to mess with Kace, but his son was too hot-headed and never listened to him. They weren’t rich or influential with a multimillion-dollar company that earned them millions of dollars every day.
Mr Williams was just a professor at Aurora Heights who’d opened a restaurant for his wife. He had a convenience store and a bar he opened to bring in extra cash for him.
He couldn’t compete with Kace at all.
"Derek, don’t try anything stupid," Mr. Williams warned his son whose fist was clenched tightly as he gritted his teeth.
It was obvious from the way he glared at Kace, that he wanted to return the punch the latter had delivered on his face a few hours ago, which had humiliated him.
"You’d better listen to your father, Derek," said Kace with a smirk on his lips. "Anyway, I came here to borrow your girlfriend, I hope you don’t mind at all—"
Derek didn’t listen to his father and tried to punch Kace in the face, but the latter was fast enough to dodge it in time.
"Derek!" Mr. Williams warned, but he knew it was too late. Derek was already in deep trouble. Whether or not he understood the nature of Allison’s relationship with Kace, one thing was clear: by trying to attack Kace, Derek had landed himself in serious trouble.
