Chapter 136: Greedy Mother
"Look who’s back after spending some time with her sugar daddy."
Allison grimaced when she heard her mother speak. The elder woman glared at her as if she were some parasite that had invaded their home, although she was her own daughter.
Allsion’s younger sister, who was thirteen years old, left their mother’s side and came to hug Allison.
"Why are they here again?" The girl whispered in Allsion’s ears, as her eyes judged Derek who was wearing a bandage on his face. His skin had turned red from the anger he was trying to contain as he glared at Allison with bloodshot eyes. "Are they looking for trouble again?"
Allison shook her head as she smiled at her sister.
"They are not. Go to your room quickly, me and mother will take care of things here," she whispered back to the little girl. Lily, Allison’s sister, regarded her for some seconds before she strode towards her room.
As soon as they heard the soft click of her door, Derek barked, "You have some nerves to leave with that man after what he did to me!"
Allison stared at him for a second. His face was bruised, but it seemed something else of his was bruised; it was his ego.
He couldn’t bring himself to admit that Kace had beaten him up. The humiliation of being knocked out by a single punch was something he couldn’t accept.
