Chapter 111 - 106: Something Unusual
Half a month later, the Elf merchant ship was nearing the Old Continent. On its sunny and pleasant deck, David and his son lay on a cargo box, their expressions somewhat vacant. Beside them, a Winter Wolf pup, Wangzai, lay in imitation.
One Red Dragon, one ’Drow,’ and one Winter Wolf, all identically fixated on the star-crossed interspecies lovers at the ship’s bow, who were blatantly flaunting their public displays of affection.
The Barbarian Rosinde had his arms wrapped around a buxom, full-figured Ogre. Together, they gazed at the distant icebergs, a scene reminiscent of the tender intimacy between Jack and Rose from Titanic.
I’m suddenly feeling a bit of regret, said David, who prided himself on never having regrets, sounding rather perplexed.
Attilicia, knowing his son as only a father could, naturally understood the source of his regret.
It was obviously the regret over spending diamond powder worth a thousand Dewensen Gold Coins to revive that Ogre, Monad, as well. This, in turn, had given this shameless couple the daily opportunity to flaunt their affection right in front of them.
Public displays of affection were one thing, but when the perpetrators were a heavily bearded Barbarian and an Ogre covered in rolls of fat...
The scene was as jarring as a blood-soaked warlord waltzing with a bloated plague bearer.
It was simply... too damn cringeworthy.
The Winter Wolf, Wangzai, had initially wagged its tail with unbridled joy upon seeing its ’mom’ resurrected. However, observing that its master’s master, and even its master’s father, didn’t seem pleased at all, Wangzai, concerned for its sleek, silver-white fur, had no choice but to feign being so overwhelmed by the public displays of affection that it was about to vomit.
