After a moment, to lessen the awkwardness, David took the initiative and said, "But since Elizabeth is so outstanding, if there’s a chance to get to know her better in the future, maybe I could consider it."
"No need for you to consider; I’ve made up my mind. You two don’t suit each other; you’re just a Scum Dragon," Attilicia objected.
I’m just a young dragon, David thought to himself. I haven’t even started to be scum yet.
He said nothing more.
Attilicia had already set the stage with a lot of preamble, so he had no choice but to come straight to the point and ask, "So, if a civil war really does break out among the High Elves in the future, you would probably intervene, right?"
"Of course." How could David miss such a good opportunity to make money?
"Then who do you plan to help?"
David didn’t even bother to think before he replied directly, "Of course, I’ll help whoever pays more!"
"You!" Attilicia felt like he was about to explode with anger at his Red Dragon son. It seemed all his previous words had gone in one ear and out the other.
"Can’t you change back into the Silver Dragon or your previous Alchemist’s High Elf form?" David immediately changed the subject.
"I can’t."
"Why not? Don’t you know that your current appearance is very likely to provoke crimes?"
