The Heavenly Demon of Terror

Chapter 5: The Award winning Performance [18+]

The next morning, I prepared breakfast for both of us. The aroma of freshly cooked omelet filled the kitchen as I placed the plate on the table. Abigail sat across from me, watching with cautious curiosity.

As I took my first bite, she finally spoke, her voice laced with suspicion. "How are you still so normal after Kayla's death?"

I chewed slowly, then looked up at her with a blank expression. "She's dead," I said flatly. "There's no point in mourning someone forever."

Abigail stared at me in disbelief, as if trying to decipher whether I was truly heartless or just indifferent. Only George and I knew the truth about Kayla's survival, and I had no intention of letting her in on it.

Finishing my breakfast, I wiped my mouth with a napkin and leaned back in my chair. "By the way, who's coming over tonight?" I asked casually. "And I have to say, I'm surprised you didn't call Joshua yesterday. It was... peaceful."

Her expression darkened at my words, but I simply smirked, enjoying the silence before she could find something to lash out about.

Abigail narrowed her eyes at me and said coldly, "Tonight, I'm bringing him over, and I want condoms—so make sure you arrange them."

I smirked, enjoying the way her frustration was beginning to bubble. Without hesitation, I pulled a packet from my pocket and tossed it onto the table. "Here. Extra-dotted, just the way you like it," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. Then, leaning back in my chair, I added with a smirk, "Oh, and don't worry—I might have a surprise for you tonight."

She frowned, suspicious. "What kind of surprise?"

I met her gaze, my smile unwavering. "None of your concern."

Her irritation flared instantly. She stood up and strode toward me, her heels clicking against the floor. Stopping just inches away, she glared at me. "What do you mean 'none of my concern'? I'm your wife, Samuel!"
