Regressed with Omnipotent AI on Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 191: Strange Rifle

Zack stepped off Aegis and fired up the thrusters, arriving at the massive square where the survivors had gathered.

At this moment, inside the Base, the resistance fighters had already been wiped out by Zack's mechanical army. The only ones left were ordinary survivors—more than 20,000 people, all huddled together, fear written all over their faces. They had no idea what fate awaited them.

Mechanical dogs patrolled the area, maintaining order and barking commands in the native bear language. Beyond the square, Zack's fearless warriors and terrifying robots stood in formation, unmoving. The recent battle had left their cold, metal bodies stained with blood, making the survivors even more terrified.

Boom!

Zack landed at the center of the square, instantly drawing everyone's attention. These people understood one thing—the man who would decide their fate had arrived. "Ego, are the numbers ready?" Zack asked in his mind, scanning the frightened crowd.

"The report is complete, sir. There are 21,432 survivors in total," Ego responded. "In addition, we found four mutants: two female red fox who surrendered during the fight, a young gray wolf changer who is still too young to fight, and one old blind man. The old man doesn't appear to be a shapesifter, and his abilities are unknown."

"Take them away." Zack's cold eyes swept over them before he gave the command. His main goal in coming here had been to test out his new gear and exact revenge on the Vanguard Organization. But now that the base was taken, it would be a waste to leave empty-handed. As for keeping the Base? That was out of the question.

First, it was in a remote area, crawling with too many mutated creatures. Second, there was nothing of real value nearby. Making it pointless endeavor, he was taking what was useful and leaving the rest behind. It was a selfish move, sure, but in the apocalypse, a leader's kindness should be reserved only for his own people.

Still, the survivors weren't completely out of luck. While the base had suffered losses, its high walls remained intact, and there was still plenty of weaponry. Zack wasn't going to bother taking these outdated guns and ammo, so at the very least, they had enough supplies to last a few years. "Bring the two red fox too. Assign two fearless warriors to keep an eye on them," Zack continued. "The kid isn't worth worrying about... but as for the old man..." Unlike other human groups, at least 70% of mutants here were shapesifters—. Out of the four, three were shapesifters. But the fourth—an old, blind man—was something else. "Bring him here."
