Chapter 255: Revealing everything
After Lyra left the living room, all of her mates pointedly looked at Kaizer. Whereas the latter seemed relaxed as he walked toward the wooden couch and settled himself. The seat he was sitting in was surprisingly comfortable with stuffed animal skin cushions sprawled along the bench.
"Get right to the point or I will kill you" Kaizer’s happy moment didn’t last long because of Killian’s threat.
Killian was already annoyed enough by this rootless beastman and didn’t know what he would do if this continued. The one reason he held himself back from acting out was because of his mate. He knew her well. She wouldn’t have done this without a reason and he wanted to respect her decision no matter what it was. However, this...bringing a rootless beastman to their house and announcing him as her mate. How could he not react when something this absurd was happening? But he decided to hear this rootless beastman before deciding to do something.
Demir likewise glared at Kaizer waiting for the latter to speak. He was shaken up seeing his mate so distraught and wanted to quickly find out the reason for that. He had just become his sunshine’s mate and wanted to understand her better even if it meant asking her other mates.
Meanwhile, Victor was trying to change his spontaneous behavior a little. He realized that he had been immature in the past and was attempting to alter it to be a good mate to his sweet girl from now on. He also observed that no one was taking him seriously these past few days and always hid things in order to not trigger him and Victor hated that more than anything. He wanted to prove that he was just as reliable as the others.
Whereas, Lucas still couldn’t comprehend his friend’s behavior. The latter looked so drowned in sorrow that he did not even interact with the cubs when they joyfully went to their father. And when the little ones didn’t get their father’s attention, they ran right back to Lucas while whining and complaining about their father. With a sigh, he picked them up from the ground before cuddling them between his arms. Soon the Cubs fell asleep maybe due to all the playing they did from the dawn till dusk.
Kaizer forgot to talk as he started at the Cubs in Lucas’s arms. These creatures would not have been safely born if he hadn’t stopped that witch master from the fox tribe that day during his bunny’s labor. So he decided to start by informing this matter to them first, "That day when the lion cubs were born, a witch master from the fox tribe was trying to do something to our mate until I stopped him and dragged him out of there"
"What?" Blake who returned from his mate’s room stood shocked as he heard Kaizer’s words.
Killian’s jaw clenched, "Don’t talk nonsense" What the hell was this bastard spouting? He waited for the former to tell him that he was lying but Kaizer was adamant about what he said.
