Chapter 216: Arrogant
Killian felt his patience dwindling the more time Kaizer spent talking nonsense instead of taking him to his mate. He wanted to burn down his opponent but held back for his mate’s sake. He didn’t know her current location or didn’t know how she was doing. The only one who could answer him about her situation and take him to her was the one that stood in front of him. He knew he had to play along with him to find his mate.
’’Look here, I don’t have any intention of fighting you. I’m just asking you to take me to my mate’’ with his jaw clenched he added, ’’So...stop playing around and lead the way’’
Kaizer smirked. He could see the beastman in front of him bubbling with anger and was more than sure that the latter would burst if he continued to stay silent. ’So this is how a mated male feels?’ he mused to himself as he observed Killian. He was new to this. After meeting his bunny, many different emotions he had never experienced flooded his life. He felt anger, sadness, and most importantly happiness but.....but even he knew that he would never be able to experience what the beastman in front of him was feeling right now.
The amber-eyed beastman was seemingly suffocating in his place. He looked distraught and restless like someone who had lost something precious. Like someone who left his heart and soul somewhere else while only his physical self was present here. Honestly, in an outsider’s eyes, what the latter was going through felt horrible. He was sure that it was nothing pleasant but still, Kaizer felt envious of the latter. He also wanted to feel like that beastman but that was not possible. First of all, he didn’t know if his bunny would accept him as her male, and even if she did, it was not like he could mark her. He was incapable of leaving his mark on his beloved woman as a rootless beastman. His father failed to do so even when his mother loved him, so there was no chance for him.
And as though rubbing salt in his wound, the beastman in front of him growled at him saying, ’’You rootless bastard! Take me to my mate now or I kill you right here!’’
Killian had enough of this nonsense. The time trickling away without seeing his mate made him anxious. He wanted to reach her as soon as possible but the one that could take him stood like a boulder while staring at him with his stupid purple eyes. He lowered his eyes to look at his mate’s mark. He could track her through the soul mark but something was interrupting it and he was sure that the one to do that was the rootless beast.
Previously he had seen the black wolf use some kind of mystic power and could feel that same power weakening and stopping him from tracking his mate. His anger and frustration were reaching their limit while the rootless beastman in front of him stood nonchalantly with a smug face.
’’Take me to my Mate!’’ Killian gave the last warning as the fire surrounding him started to increase. Even Kenna felt its master’s emotions fluctuate greatly and tried its best to suppress the powers from going out of hand but it was becoming more and more difficult as time passed.
’’What will I get in return?’’ But the reply that came from Kaizer left Kenna speechless. Kenna looked at Kaizer like he was weird while thinking, ’What is wrong with this fool?’
