Chapter 163: Grandfather
Beast city was in chaos the next morning due to the abrupt death of another Beast king. The fox king’s death shook the entire city’s peace and now it was the Black wolf tribe’s king’s death that unsettled the beastmen.
"What the hell is happening in the city, Leo?" Lucas’s father asked looking at his friend with a serious face. Two King beastmen were dead inside the safety parameters of the city but the culprit was not found. They were forced to remain quiet because the investigation was not moving forward. The one who killed the fox king was not yet found and now they had another headache.
The lion king too felt that the situation inside the city was becoming more and more severe as days passed. At first, he was secretly relieved about the death of that scheming fox king. Late king Jacob was notorious for causing problems and all the other tribes’ kings always wanted to get him out of the city but it was not possible.
Then about king Alexander, he did not have a favorable reputation in the city but he was better than the fox king. The black wolf tribe was responsible for guarding the city together with the silver wolf and lion tribe. Wolves no matter which kind always worked in packs and were strong warriors with great loyalty. It was a shame to lose the king of such warriors but the important thing now was finding the culprit responsible for these mishaps.
"I don’t think it’s the same person" King Helio voiced out bringing the lion king out of his thoughts.
He glanced at his friend and the silver wolf tribe’ king continued to talk, "The one that killed the fox king is different from the murderer of the Black wolf tribe’ king"
"How so?" King Leonard asked. He too felt that the two killings were done by different individuals but he wanted to hear his friend’s reasoning before jumping to conclusions.
"King Alexander was killed with a sharp object whereas the fox king was brutally attacked by someone powerful" King Helio explained, "At least we got an intact dead body in king Alexander’s matter but that was not the case with fox king. By this, we can easily conclude that the fox king was killed by someone else and also we Beastmen don’t use knives and daggers"
The lion King frowned, "The murderer must have done that to cover up his tracks. By not using his claws and fangs he must have intended to escape from the investigation"
