Chapter 137: Poor thing
Back in the rose castle, Lyra sighed cleaning the soup which was spread on the floor.
She didn’t have any other choice but to cook lunch once again. But this time, she decided to stir fry some remaining meat and took it to the second floor.
Entering Victor’s room, she saw that he was still busy looking at the fabrics. For a moment, she didn’t know what to feel about his lack of awareness regarding his surroundings.
It was alright for now that the clumsy intruder just left without doing anything, but what if he was someone dangerous? Well, that intruder didn’t look dangerous, so she came out of her thoughts and stepped inside while still holding the lunch in her hands.
"Victor?" He was too lost in his thoughts, so she had to nudge his shoulder to get his attention.
He raised his brows in question and she glared at him, "Come and eat your lunch!"
Victor just chuckled at her angry face and pecked her lips, "I will eat the lunch, so stop being mad my sweet girl"
She softened at his smooth words but still, she kept her straight face and made him sit on the bed, "Now eat it"
He looked at her outstretched hand and couldn’t help but smile. Beastmen didn’t need to eat every day because they could just hunt bigger prey in their beast forms every two to three days. But that is until he met his sweet girl. No matter how much he or others explained she was not convinced and made sure that they eat every day in front of her.
"Sweet girl, it is really alright for us males to go on without eating anything for some days" he once again tried to clarify but just as he anticipated, Lyra kept a straight face and picked up a meat piece using a wooden spoon from the stone bowl and held it against his mouth.
"I don’t believe your words," she said. How could she believe his or her other mates’ words when they sometimes forgot to even go out for a hunt? Lucas and Noah were always busy with their tribe matters. Blake would go out to hunt with their babies but she didn’t think that he would get any chance to eat as he would be preoccupied with looking after their sons.....They are very mischievous. Then that guy Killian, would either always stick with her or would be found practicing with Kenna. Lyra still didn’t know about Demir and Kyrell because they are not yet her mates and did not live with them.
