Chapter 87: Facing Rose!!!
Hearing Kranos’s question, Rose smiled lightly. She understood Kranos deeply; even though it seemed he was asking out of despair, he actually had a means of escape and just wanted to take advantage of that to gain information about them before departing.
She was truly impressed with Kranos at the thought. Since he possessed the space element, a rare element, an idea quickly formed in her mind: "You possess a rare element and are extremely smart. Why don’t you join our organization? If you do so, your life will no longer be in danger."
Kranos glanced at her coldly. Her voice felt faintly familiar, but he couldn’t recall where he had heard it. He understood what Rose was implying, and he couldn’t help but frown deeply. Basically, it seemed like she was inviting him to their organization, but it was more like a threat.
Since she said his life would no longer be in danger if he joined them, she was practically telling him that his life would constantly be in danger as long as he hadn’t joined them, even if he killed her. He also understood another thing from her statement... they seem to be chasing those with rare elements?
His thoughts moved, and then, withdrawing his sword into his time-space, like he had surrendered.
He asked, "How do I join your organization?"
Seeing Kranos’s sincere expression, Rose sneered inwardly. If she didn’t know how cunning and cautious Kranos was, she might have believed him.
Her hand flashed briefly and something appeared in it. Kranos’s gaze was immediately attracted to it.
He discovered it was a shackle, similar to handcuffs from his previous life, but he felt this one seemed more sophisticated.
