Chapter 360: Don’t Blame Me For Interfering
"Get out!" Trenton suddenly stood up and yelled in a sharp, cold voice.
Once everyone left, the smile on his face disappeared. A dark look took over. That memory from earlier had clearly triggered something in him. The anger building up inside him needed a way out.
Why? Why did everyone lie to me? Why did they all betray me?
A sharp pain spread through his chest, making him feel even more restless and gloomy.
"Chantelle Bently!" he growled, clenching his fists. He forced her name out through gritted teeth as if each syllable burned his tongue.
So now, she thought she could go against me. Looks like I didn’t teach her well enough. I let her become wild.
If she refuses to listen to me, then she should suffer the consequences.
Trenton pressed a hand to his chest, remembering the moment Chantelle stabbed him. She didn’t hesitate. No fear. No regret. She had really meant to kill him.
Too bad she was too weak. She had the chance to kill him but she failed.
Trenton’s men had already left, but the maids in the castle were still around. They watched him from a distance, sometimes he laughed, sometimes his face twisted in rage. The sight terrified them. They couldn’t stop trembling.
In the past, whenever Trenton became like this, the servants were always the ones to suffer. They never knew what kind of twisted punishment he would use to let out his rage. That’s why, many times, they tried to act first.
