Chapter 359: Where Did He Go?
Chantelle let out a sigh of relief. At least Trenton didn’t take him. But if Daniel left by himself, why didn’t he tell the bodyguards? Why make them search all over for him?
"Why are you only telling us now that Daddy left on his own? Didn’t you see that the uncles were all worried and looking for him?" Chantelle crouched down and asked softly.
Stephanie yawned. "Daddy said not to tell anyone until Mommy came back."
What was Daniel trying to do? Where did he go?
Chantelle took Stephanie back to her room and waited until she fell asleep. Then, she called Calvin.
"What’s going on with Trenton?"
"One of Trenton’s fleets got blown up. It came out that they were involved in human trafficking. The police are looking into it now." Calvin was stunned when he got the news.
But it wasn’t the human trafficking part that surprised him. Trenton was only in his thirties and already had a massive fortune, something most regular businessmen couldn’t pull off.
Calvin was stunned that Trenton was actually in trouble this time. He had been running wild in Carcosa for years. With strong ties to high-ranking officials and wealthy businessmen, no one dared to touch him.
He had no idea who had the guts to challenge him now.
"What else?" Chantelle asked. She had a strong feeling Daniel was behind this. She opened her tablet and started checking the news.
