When Brian’s wife went to the backyard to look for him, a few well-dressed ladies from nearby villas showed up without being invited.
Belinda thought it was a bit odd, but she didn’t overthink it. She welcomed them with a smile.
"Mrs. Morgan, sorry to drop by uninvited," one of them said. "We saw Ms. Chantelle come here. We were hoping she could give us some advice on what to wear for the charity dinner tomorrow. We’re really not sure what’s the appropriate attire to wear."
Truthfully, these women weren’t from old noble families. Most of them came from newly rich backgrounds. They had money, but not the family history to get into the real high-society crowd.
Earlier at the event, Chantelle had chatted with them about fashion and even introduced them to a few well-known noble ladies. They really appreciated her help.
After getting Chantelle’s permission, the ladies dressed up and came over to the Morgan family’s villa.
"It’s fine. I’m getting older and usually just stay at home. I enjoy watching young people talk and have fun," Belinda said with a warm smile. Her kind tone made everyone feel more comfortable.
They had just started chatting when loud shouting from the backyard erupted.
"Brian! You jerk! I’ve ignored you messing around with other women, but now you bring one into our home and sleep in our bed? Do you think I’m dead?!"
Brian and his wife had been sleeping in separate rooms for a while. She knew about his affairs and didn’t want to risk catching anything from him, so she kept her distance.
As long as Brian kept making money and took care of their children, his wife pretended not to know about his affairs.
