Chapter 293: Come Back And Check Daniel
"You drugged him?" Philip asked, furrowing his brow.
Daniel had always been cautious about being set up, especially after he once wrongly accused Chantelle of doing it years ago. Philip found it hard to believe someone could drug Daniel again. The only explanation in his mind was that Chantelle did it.
"I would never! Stop with the nonsense and just check if he’s okay!"
Chantelle was annoyed by Philip’s gossip. She couldn’t believe he was still joking after seeing Daniel like that.
"Okay, I got it. When he wakes up, I’ll make sure he knows how much you cared," Philip said with a wink before helping Daniel into the lab’s ward.
Chantelle sat on the sofa outside and her eyes were glued on the closed door.
Calvin spoke up, "Ms. Chantelle, Dr. Collins looks relaxed. Mr. Wilson should be okay."
Hearing that, Chantelle let out a small sigh. Calvin was right. Philip always worried about Daniel, but he was still joking around earlier. That meant Daniel’s condition wasn’t serious. He should be fine.
"Ms. Chantelle, you’re usually calm. You just care too much about Mr. Wilson," Calvin added, noticing she looked agitated and trying to make her feel better.
But Chantelle wished he hadn’t said that. It only made her feel more embarrassed.
Half an hour later, Philip finally walked out of the ward, looking serious.
