Chapter 108 - Aisha’s Escape! Closer and Closer to the Top!
The garden of the Kingdragon Kingdom castle was an exuberant place, where flowers of various colors adorned the flowerbeds and a marble fountain spouted crystalline water at a tranquil pace.
In the center of this setting, a rustic wooden table was surrounded by King Leonard and his counselors. Seated there, alongside them, Rygar was discussing a diplomatic problem that had arisen in recent days.
"Then, Milis wasn't very happy with the death of their two pawns..." commented Rygar, with his arms crossed and a contemplative look.
King Leonard sighed and took a sip of his tea.
"Yes, it's a problem. Milis is the country closest to us after crossing the sea, lying between us and the Great Forest, and the influence of the Great Forest is still limited. Politically and logistically, this has generated tension and obstacles that we need to resolve."
Rygar listened attentively while his mind was already working on solutions. He pondered the possibility of recreating an earthen bridge connecting the two continents, something that could eliminate the exclusive dependence on maritime routes.
After all, if the separation of the continents was supposedly caused by magic in the legends, it wouldn't be impossible to reverse the process using magic itself.
However, he still did not master the magic necessary for a feat of that magnitude.
Although the spells he was learning at Saint and King levels of Earth could do something similar, but on a smaller scale. He felt that he could eventually improve them.
For now, a more practical solution was decided: the ships would have to skirt around the bay, and a new port would be built in the Great Forest.
The counselors seemed astonished by this proposal, murmuring among themselves about the audacity of the idea. Rygar, on the other hand, was more impressed by the fact that the entire world had only one port city capable of connecting the continents. The idea of relying exclusively on these specific routes was, to him, absurd.
