The army rested for an entire day. They did not know why Rex was being soft currently. They figured it had to do with that village.
Not a Soul dared to challenge Rex or to question any of his motives.
When the army got up to advance. They were stopped by villages going to the capital. Rex told the army to standby.
They were afraid that Rex had finally lost his mind. What they could not see was a happy face on Rex. If they were to see this, they would know that he had done something major.
The army moved for three days and checked every village. The army did not rest any more. This made them feel something more off about Rex.
The capital came in sight. The Beastmen were ready to charge. Rex held them back.
"My army. You all have followed my orders without any resentment. For that, I am extremely happy. Now the capital of this small kingdom is in sight. If any dare to fight now, then we will fight. If they are trying to surrender, we will see what they offer."
