Chapter 102: Honeymoon Suite I
Horace personally passed the second card key to Matteo. He clasped his hands around Amelia and Matteo’s own and spoke.
"I’ve personally spoken to old Walton before we left; your suite has everything a couple on honeymoon could possibly need. If you require any other more... specialized items, feel free to consult the front desk. Remember, Amelia dear, money is no issue."
"Thank you, Grandpa," Amelia managed to wheeze out, the keycard burning a hole in her palm. Of course, she should have expected this. In Horace Hawthorne’s old wizened eyes, she and Matteo were the epitome of a loving couple, and loving couples spent a lot of time under the sheets when on vacation.
"Thank you, Grandfather," Matteo echoed, but he sounded a lot more enthusiastic than Amelia. One of his arms was wrapped around her waist as if he was ready to spirit her off to the room to make full use of the facilities. "We’ll make good use of the suite."
Horace gave an approving nod, while Amelia nearly choked.
"Let’s go," Matteo said, holding her hand to lead her to their room. Amelia hurried with him, hoping that the rest of the family wouldn’t follow suit.
Unfortunately, it seemed like Emmeline and Aiden had gotten assigned rooms on the same level as theirs, while the elders were on the level below. In fact, their rooms were directly next to theirs!
Amelia fought the urge to groan. This had Kelsie Friesent’s greasy fingers coated all over it. Next to her, Matteo also let out a disgruntled grunt at the realization of who his new neighbors were. They hovered near them, waiting for them to open the door so they could look inside, but Matteo merely crossed his arms.
"Don’t you guys have your own rooms to enter?" he asked icily.
