Abruptly, he felt something grabbing his feet. Looking down, Asuma saw a couple more Naruclones popped out of the earth and grasping his legs. Struggling, he found it pretty hard to move; they were strong little buggers. Hearing feet move, he looked up and silently swore as he saw Ino setting up to use the Shintenshin no Jutsu.
Forcing some chakra into his legs, he broke the grip of the Iwa Bunshin and leapt to the side. The Shintenshin no Jutsu was a very good way to capture a target, but it required the target in question to be immobilised first, as it travelled from the user very slowly. Any kind of serious movement meant it would miss.
"Shannaro!" Sakura roared as she erupted from the ground beneath him, making Asuma's eyes widen in surprise. She drew her fist back and slammed a punch into his side, one that was far more powerful than someone of her build should possibly be capable of. He had instinctively reinforced his body with chakra, so the punch hadn't actually damaged him, but it still hurt like a sonofabitch!
"Ha! We did it-dattebayo!" Naruto cheered triumphantly as he poked his head out of the ground.
