'I really feel sorry for those poor kids who have Kakashi as a Jonin-sensei.' he mused whimsically. The silver-haired, cyclopean jonin was basically going to pass his team no matter what they did due to all three of them being Clan Heirs; even his status as the 'Hero of the Sharingan' and the last living pupil of the Yondaime Hokage wouldn't stand up to the backlash of making the Last Uchiha and the Inuzuka and Aburame Heirs flunk back to the Academy.
Still, he was probably going to put them through hell, even if he couldn't fail them. From what he'd gathered, the Uchiha boy had an ego problem, so he'd likely go along with his usual Bell Test, which was his prerogative. Asuma still thought that it was a bit much for fresh genin to be expected to 'look underneath the underneath' at that age. He knew it had taken Kakashi a few years of active service to learn that particular lesson, despite being a genius, so why he expected kids to do better at twelve he didn't know.
"OK you three, time's up!" he called as he extinguished his cigarette. "Have you managed to pull a plan together?"
"Yup-dattebayo!" Naruto declared confidently.
