Chapter 45: The Revelation
"You... found the fragment of the rock?" Xavier asked to confirm. He couldn’t believe his ears.
’What was the fragment of the goddess there? It was supposed to be in the village. According to my father, it has been in the village for thousands of years. Could there be more fragments?’
Bull nodded and continued his story. "The goddess once again asked me if I sought power, and I said yes. What was I supposed to lose, anyway? I was dying, so it was my one and only hope. Then suddenly, I felt strength in my body. I was fully healed. Skipping the story, I fought the space beast and got out of the bottomless pit. Got my revenge on those space pirates. I hunted them down for years and finally avenged the death of my friends and family.
And before I had realized it, I had my own team. The goddess gave me the power I wished for, but in return, I had to do what the goddess asked me to do. I was ordered to find all the fragments of the rock of the goddess and gather them. And to do that, I had to travel to space.
I ventured through various planets to hunt down all the treasures known, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find a single fragment. And before I had realized it, I had become a space pirate. Although that was not my intention, they began calling me that. It didn’t matter to me. I don’t regret a single thing I have done in my life."
’Wait a second... isn’t his story similar to mine? Bull sought power, so he got power. I was unintentionally seeking money because that could solve all my problems, and I got the unlimited money system. But... the goddess hasn’t asked me to do anything for her. So... wait...’
