Chapter 186: Lovesick puppy
Remo sat at the head of the long, mahogany table in the dimly lit conference room of his lavish casino, his icy gaze sweeping over the assembled workers. The air crackled with tension as they awaited his words.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Remo’s voice was smooth as silk, but there was a dangerous edge to it that made even the most seasoned of his employees shift uneasily in their seats. "I’ve called this meeting to address a matter of utmost importance."
He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in before continuing.
"Someone in this room has made a grave mistake. They’ve dared to steal from me, to betray the trust that I have placed in each and every one of you."
The room fell silent, the only sound was the soft hum of the air conditioning. Remo’s steely gaze swept over the room, his eyes boring into each man as if daring them to speak.
"I want you to understand something very clearly," he said, his voice dropping to a low, menacing growl. "I will not tolerate betrayal. I will not tolerate disloyalty. And I will most certainly not tolerate thievery."
A shiver ran down the spine of every man in the room as Remo’s words hung in the air like a dark cloud.
"I don’t yet know who the culprit is," Remo continued, his tone deadly calm. "But mark my words, I will find out. And when I do, there will be consequences."
He leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable.
