The Twisted Obsession

Chapter 137: Nightmare

Abby gently guided Remo into their bedroom, his exhaustion evident in the heavy bags under his eyes and the way his shoulders drooped with weariness. Since her admission to the hospital, he hadn’t slept properly, his mind consumed with worry and fear. Now that they were back home, Abby was determined to help him find some much-needed rest.

She patted her side of the bed, inviting Remo to join her. "Come on, love. Let’s get some sleep," she murmured softly, her voice a soothing melody in the quiet room.

Remo hesitated, his eyes still haunted by the events of the past few days. "I don’t know if I can," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

Abby reached out, gently taking his hand in hers. "I understand, but you need to rest. We’re safe here, together," she reassured him, her gaze filled with warmth and understanding.

With a hesitant nod, Remo finally relented, allowing Abby to lead him to the bed. As they settled beneath the covers, Abby wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close in a comforting embrace.

"Close your eyes, Remo," she whispered, her fingers tracing soothing circles on his back. "Just focus on your breathing, in and out, like the steady rhythm of the ocean."

Remo followed her instructions, his tense muscles slowly relaxing under her gentle touch. With each breath, the weight of his worries began to lift, replaced by a sense of calm and peace.

"You’re doing great, my love," Abby encouraged, her voice a soft murmur in his ear. "Just let go of everything else and sink into the comfort of sleep."

Abby continued to murmur words of encouragement, her voice a soft lullaby that lulled Remo into a state of tranquility. She pressed a tender kiss to his forehead, her love for him overflowing in every gentle gesture.
